Summary

This 2014 Ghost represents a significant entry point into the world of Rolls-Royce, offering the peerless refinement of a hand-assembled V12 in a timeless white finish that remains a top choice for resale in the GCC. With just over 80,000 km, this vehicle has been driven well below the regional average for its age, suggesting a life of careful use rather than heavy commuting. The Japanese regional specification is highly regarded in the UAE for its typically meticulous maintenance history and high interior preservation standards. While it offers a more compact and driver-focused experience than the larger Phantom, it maintains the 'magic carpet ride' essential for navigating long UAE highway stretches in total serenity. For a buyer seeking the ultimate executive statement without the steep depreciation curve of a newer model, this Ghost is a compelling local opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2014 Ghosts

With 80,200 km on the odometer, this Ghost has averaged approximately 8,000 km per year, significantly lower than the GCC average of 25,000 km for executive sedans. The white exterior is the most preferred color for resale in the local market, offering better heat reflection and value retention than darker shades. Its Japanese provenance typically indicates a vehicle that has spent less time in extreme desert heat compared to regional examples of the same age.

Standard vs Lower Trims

As the foundational expression of modern Rolls-Royce luxury, this trim includes the essential 'Magic Carpet Ride' air suspension and the satellite-aided transmission that pre-selects gears based on GPS data. It features the signature coach doors with integrated umbrellas and a handcrafted leather interior that sets it apart from mass-market executive cars. Unlike basic luxury sedans, this model is standard with soft-close doors and the whisper-quiet V12 powertrain.

Ghost vs Segment Rivals

The Ghost leads rivals like the Bentley Continental Flying Spur in sheer cabin silence and ride quality thanks to its sophisticated double-wishbone front and multi-link rear air suspension. While the Bentley focuses on a sportier feel, the Ghost provides a more effortless 'waftability' that is superior for long drives between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Its 490-litre boot space and immense rear legroom make it more practical for professional chauffeur use than smaller executive alternatives.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the V12 averages around 14.3 L/100km, though GCC city traffic will see higher figures while long highway cruising proves surprisingly efficient. Maintenance follows 20,000 km or 12-month intervals, with Rolls-Royce authorized service centers available in major hubs across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Having already passed its initial high-depreciation years, this 2014 model offers a more stable value proposition for the next owner compared to newer inventory.

Performance & Capability

The 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 delivers 563 horsepower, propelling this 2.4-tonne sedan from 0–100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds with total composure. The 780 Nm of torque is available from just 1,500 rpm, ensuring immediate highway overtaking power without the drama of downshifting. On the long stretches of the E11 or E311, the car remains electronically limited to a smooth 250 km/h.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is a sanctuary of acoustic glass and deep-pile lambswool, designed to insulate passengers from the intense GCC summer noise and heat. Multi-zone climate control ensures precise cooling for all occupants, while the rear coach doors provide the easiest entry and exit in the segment. The white exterior paired with the high-grade leather interior keeps the cabin noticeably cooler during midday sun exposure.

Safety

Standard safety features include a comprehensive suite of airbags, stability control, and advanced brake assist for reliable stopping power. The 2014 model year includes night vision and a head-up display, which are invaluable for maintaining visibility during nighttime highway drives or sudden desert dust storms. Adaptive headlights and a 360-degree camera system assist with navigating tight urban parking and fast-moving multi-lane traffic.

The bottom line

This Ghost is the ideal choice for a buyer who wants the prestige of a V12 Rolls-Royce with the peace of mind offered by a low-mileage Japanese import. It represents the best balance of iconic presence and stabilized market value available in the UAE today.
