Summary

This 11-year-old Range Rover Autobiography offers a rare combination of the flagship supercharged V8 and the highest possible luxury specification. While the mileage reflects a well-traveled life across the GCC, the Autobiography trim's semi-aniline leather and massing seats tend to hold up remarkably well against wear. Black is the most sought-after resale color for full-size Range Rovers in the UAE, ensuring this remains a highly liquid asset in the pre-owned market. Compared to smaller-displacement rivals, the effortless power of the 5.0L engine provides a level of highway poise that is essential for long-distance travel between emirates. This is a chance to own the ultimate expression of British luxury at a fraction of its original cost.

This Car vs Other 2015 Range Rovers

At 183,000 km, this vehicle has averaged approximately 16,600 km per year, which is significantly below the GCC annual average of 20,000–25,000 km. In a market where high-mileage examples often exceed 250,000 km by this age, this car represents a more conservative use case. The black-on-black color combination is the strongest configuration for resale value in the local market.

AUTOBIOGRAPHY vs Lower Trims

The Autobiography trim sits above the Vogue and Vogue SE, adding standard features that are essential for the GCC climate, such as 24-way adjustable ventilated front seats with massage functions and executive-class rear seating. It also includes the Meridian Signature Reference audio system and unique 21-inch diamond-turned wheels that are not found on lower specifications. Most importantly for the region, it features a higher grade of semi-aniline leather that remains cooler in the sun than standard hides.

Range Rover vs Segment Rivals

While the Mercedes-Benz G-Class offers more utilitarian durability, the Range Rover leads the segment in high-speed cabin refinement and ride quality thanks to its sophisticated air suspension. It offers more legitimate off-road hardware than the Porsche Cayenne, specifically with its low-range transfer case and 900 mm wading depth. For the GCC buyer, its Terrain Response 2 system is far more intuitive for sand driving than the complex locking procedures in some rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

The supercharged V8 typically returns around 13.8 L/100km in mixed GCC conditions, though stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh will see this rise. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from a wide network of authorized service centers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts are readily available. Range Rovers at this age have already moved past their steepest depreciation curve, typically retaining value well if the air suspension and cooling systems are maintained. Service intervals should be kept to every 10,000 km to account for the extreme local heat.

Performance & Capability

With 510 horsepower, this SUV can reach a top speed of 225 km/h, providing effortless overtaking power on the E11 highway. The 625 Nm of torque allows for a maximum braked towing capacity of 3,500 kg, ideal for boat or horse trailers. Its air suspension can raise the vehicle to provide up to 295 mm of ground clearance, making it as capable in the dunes as it is comfortable on the road.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the GCC summer, featuring four-zone climate control with dedicated rear vents and a cooled center console to keep drinks chilled. Acoustic glass and extensive insulation significantly reduce wind noise during high-speed desert drives. The Autobiography's signature sliding panoramic roof features a power blind with high thermal reflection to keep the interior cool even in peak July temperatures.

Safety

This trim includes a comprehensive safety suite featuring a 360-degree surround camera system, which is invaluable for parking such a large vehicle in tight urban spaces. Standard active safety includes Blind Spot Monitoring and Closing Vehicle Sensing, critical for the fast-moving, multi-lane traffic common in the GCC. It also features a robust All-Terrain Progress Control (ATPC) system that acts as a low-speed cruise control for challenging sand or gravel surfaces.

The bottom line

This listing is perfect for the buyer who wants the prestigious V8 Autobiography experience without the six-figure price tag of a newer model. Its GCC-spec status and desirable color make it a secure choice for someone looking for a flagship SUV that still commands respect on the road.
