Summary

This GCC-spec Range Rover Evoque SE enters the market as a high-style choice for urban professionals and small families. With 96,000 km on the clock, this 10-year-old vehicle has averaged under 10,000 km per year—significantly lower than the GCC average of 20,000 km. The Fuji White exterior is the most sought-after resale color in the region, ensuring better value retention and heat reflection during peak summer months. Unlike many American-spec imports found locally, this GCC unit is built with the heavy-duty cooling systems required for the Arabian Peninsula's extreme climate. It remains a standout in the compact luxury segment for its ability to balance high-end curb appeal with genuine light-off-road hardware.

This Car vs Other 2016 Range Rover Evoques

At 96,000 km, this vehicle has been driven much less than the typical 200,000+ km expected for a car of this age in the GCC. While many 2016 models show significant wear from heavy highway commuting, this example represents a lower-usage opportunity. The White exterior is a strategic choice for the local market, offering the highest demand and fastest turnaround time at resale compared to darker or metallic shades.

SE vs Lower Trims

The SE trim provides a meaningful step up from the base Pure trim, adding essential GCC luxuries like grained leather upholstery and front and rear parking sensors as standard. It also upgrades the cabin with 8-way electric front seat adjustment and power-folding heated door mirrors. These features are critical for convenience in tight city parking and comfort during long inter-emirate drives.

Range Rover Evoque vs Segment Rivals

The Evoque leads the BMW X1 and Audi Q3 specifically when the pavement ends, thanks to its superior approach and departure angles and the Land Rover Terrain Response system. While rivals focus almost entirely on road handling, the Evoque offers a 500mm wading depth and a more robust Four Wheel Drive system. For GCC buyers who occasionally visit the farm or desert fringe, the Evoque provides a level of capability its German peers cannot match.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.0L turbocharged engine typically averages around 10-12 L/100km in GCC stop-start traffic, dropping significantly on the highway. Being a GCC-spec Land Rover, it benefits from a wide network of authorized service centers and specialized independent garages across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. While European luxury SUVs generally depreciate by 12-15% annually, the Evoque's iconic design helps it maintain a loyal following and stable demand in the pre-owned market.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 240 hp 2.0L turbocharged engine paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, this Evoque delivers smooth highway cruising and confident overtaking. The Four Wheel Drive system is augmented by All-Terrain Progress Control, allowing the vehicle to maintain a steady speed on slippery or sandy surfaces. Whether navigating the fast-moving E11 highway or exploring gravel wadi tracks, the chassis remains composed and refined.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for five passengers, featuring premium materials and dual-zone climate control with dedicated rear vents—essential for maintaining comfort during 45°C summers. Sound insulation is excellent, keeping the interior quiet even at high highway speeds. The SE trim's ambient lighting and leather-wrapped steering wheel create a sophisticated environment for both daily commutes and weekend road trips.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes a comprehensive seven-airbag system and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) to prevent skidding on sand or wet surfaces. The vehicle is equipped with Emergency Brake Assist and a rearview camera to aid in urban maneuvering. Land Rover's specialized Roll Stability Control provides an extra layer of protection for the vehicle's higher center of gravity during emergency highway lane changes.

The bottom line

This is a rare, low-mileage GCC-spec Evoque in the market's favorite color, offering the perfect entry into the Range Rover lifestyle for a buyer who values design and local mechanical peace of mind.
