Summary

This 2016 Rolls-Royce Wraith offers a rare combination of high-performance grand touring and peerless luxury, finished in a timeless Black that remains a top-tier choice for resale in the GCC. While its mileage reflects regular highway use across the Emirates, this model year is particularly desirable as it introduced massaging seats and adaptive headlights as standard equipment. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it is fully optimized for the region’s extreme temperatures, featuring superior cooling systems that outshine imported counterparts. The Wraith stands alone for buyers who seek the power of a supercar with the refined presence that only a hand-assembled Rolls-Royce can provide.

This Car vs Other 2016 Wraiths

With 157,329 km, this Wraith has been enjoyed more than the typical 'garage queen' often found in the UAE, yet this mileage is consistent with a vehicle used for cross-border GCC highway travel rather than congested city idling. The black-on-black color combination is arguably the strongest for local resale value, offering a sophisticated look that is highly sought after in the secondary market. Buyers will find this example mechanically seasoned for local conditions, having already bypassed the initial steep depreciation seen in lower-mileage units.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The 2016 'Standard' trim is anything but basic, as this specific model year added front massaging seats and adaptive LED headlights as part of the factory standard list. Unlike earlier models, this version includes the Satellite Aided Transmission which uses GPS data to pre-select gears for upcoming GCC highway curves and junctions. This car also features the iconic power-closing 'coach' doors and high-grade natural grain leather that define the Rolls-Royce ownership experience.

Wraith vs Segment Rivals

The Wraith leads the Bentley Continental GT in pure presence and interior volume, offering a far more significant cabin for four adults. Its 83-litre fuel tank provides a substantial cruising range for long drives between Dubai and Riyadh, while the air suspension is specifically tuned for a 'magic carpet ride' that rivals like the Ferrari GTC4Lusso cannot match. The 6.6L V12 provides a level of effortless torque that makes high-speed highway overtaking silent and immediate.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 14.3 L/100km, though this will increase in stop-start traffic in major GCC hubs. Authorized service centers are widely available through AGMC and Abu Dhabi Motors in the UAE, with a robust network extending into Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. While Rolls-Royce vehicles experience higher initial depreciation than Japanese brands, a 2016 model has reached a more stable value plateau, and GCC-spec history significantly aids retention compared to imported American or European models.

Performance & Capability

The twin-turbocharged V12 delivers a massive 625 hp and 800 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint of just 4.6 seconds—a remarkable feat for a vehicle of this stature. It is electronically limited to a top speed of 250 km/h, maintaining absolute stability and silence on long highway stretches. The rear-wheel-drive chassis is supported by an intelligent air suspension system that constantly adjusts to road surfaces, ensuring the cabin remains undisturbed by road imperfections.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of hand-finished wood and leather, designed to isolate four passengers from the intense summer heat of the GCC. The multi-zone climate control system is remarkably powerful, and the 2016 standard inclusion of massaging seats ensures comfort during long-distance travel. Deep-pile lambswool carpets and acoustic glass work together to create the quietest coupe interior in the segment, making it ideal for executive commuting.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes a comprehensive suite of airbags, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera system that is essential for maneuvering a vehicle of this size. The adaptive xenon headlights provide excellent visibility on unlit desert roads, while the stability and traction control systems are calibrated to handle both highway speeds and the occasional sandy shoulder with composure.

The bottom line

For the driver who wants the prestige of a hand-built V12 Rolls-Royce without the new-car price tag, this GCC-spec Wraith is a distinguished choice that is ready for immediate regional travel.
