Summary

This 2017 Bentley Bentayga First Edition is a rare collector's opportunity, representing one of only 608 units produced globally to launch the model. With just over 40,000 km, its mileage is exceptionally low for the GCC market, where luxury SUVs typically cover double that distance by this age. The silver exterior is a top-tier choice for the region, offering both heat-reflective properties and the strongest possible resale demand. As a First Edition, it comes pre-configured with the most desirable options that typically command a premium on the used market. For a buyer in the UAE or KSA, this is the definitive way to own Bentley's most powerful 12-cylinder SUV heritage in its most exclusive form.

This Car vs Other 2017 Bentaygas

At 40,189 km, this vehicle has been driven roughly 5,700 km per year, significantly below the GCC average of 20,000 km for high-end SUVs. This low usage translates to a well-preserved interior and mechanical components that haven't faced the typical wear of heavy trans-emirate commuting. The silver finish is a strategic advantage for local resale, consistently outperforming bolder colors in the UAE and Saudi markets.

First Edition vs Lower Trims

The First Edition was designed as a 'best of Bentley' showcase, making standard several features that were expensive options on the base W12. This includes the Bentley Dynamic Ride active roll control, the Touring and City specifications, and the 20-speaker Naim audio system. Visually, it is distinguished by unique 22-inch black-painted and polished wheels, Union Jack exterior badging, and bespoke diamond-quilted leather with 'First Edition' embroidery.

Bentayga vs Segment Rivals

When cross-shopped against the Rolls-Royce Cullinan or Range Rover Autobiography, the Bentayga stands out for its performance-first W12 architecture. It offers a higher top speed and more focused handling thanks to its active anti-roll bars, which are essential for maintaining composure on fast-moving GCC highways. The cabin's isolation from external heat and wind noise remains a segment benchmark, specifically engineered for extreme climates.

Running Costs & Resale

The 6.0L W12 uses approximately 12.8L/100km on the highway, though city driving in heavy traffic will see this increase significantly. Bentley's authorized service network is robust in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with dedicated centers in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, and Jeddah. While luxury vehicles in this segment typically depreciate by 12–15% annually, the First Edition's limited production run of 608 units provides a stronger value floor than the standard production models.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this SUV is the W12 engine producing 600 hp and 900 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 301 km/h. This massive torque is particularly useful for effortless overtaking on long desert highways. The All-Wheel Drive system and adjustable air suspension allow for light desert excursions, though its primary strength is high-speed, long-distance touring between GCC cities.

Comfort & Cabin

This specific Four-Seat Comfort Specification provides a dedicated rear-seat experience with two individual thrones separated by a leather-trimmed console. Both rear passengers benefit from ventilated and massaging seats, essential for comfort during the peak GCC summer. The cabin is finished in handcrafted wood veneers and premium hides, with multi-zone climate control ensuring rapid cooling even after the car has been parked in the sun.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on the First Edition includes a 360-degree top-view camera and the full City Specification suite, featuring traffic sign recognition and pedestrian warning. For high-speed highway travel, the Touring Specification adds adaptive cruise control and lane assist, providing an extra layer of security during long drives across the Emirates or into neighboring GCC states. The heavy-duty braking system, featuring 400mm rotors, is designed to bring this 2.4-ton SUV to a halt consistently in high ambient temperatures.

The bottom line

This is a low-mileage, GCC-spec example of a limited-run icon, perfectly suited for a collector or executive who demands W12 power and maximum exclusivity.
