Summary

This 2017 Mustang offers the ideal balance of iconic muscle car styling and modern efficiency, making it a highly practical choice for daily driving in the UAE. As a Premium trim, it features a significantly upgraded interior compared to base models, providing the essential cooling features needed for the Gulf summer. The white exterior is the strongest resale color in the regional market, as it reflects heat effectively and remains in high demand among local buyers. With its turbocharged powertrain, you get the aggressive look of a pony car without the high fuel overhead of a V8, perfect for both city commutes and weekend highway cruising. This specific listing represents a well-equipped entry into the American sports car segment with all the technical conveniences expected by modern drivers.

This Car vs Other 2017 Mustangs

With 150,000 km, this Mustang reflects typical GCC usage patterns where long-distance highway driving between emirates is standard. While the mileage is consistent for its age in this region, the white exterior provides a distinct advantage for heat management and future resale value in the local market. Compared to standard EcoBoost models often found with higher wear, this Premium trim has been maintained to a higher interior specification.

PREMIUM vs Lower Trims

The Premium trim is a significant step up from the base EcoBoost, adding essential GCC comforts like leather-trimmed ventilated and heated front seats. It also introduces the SYNC 3 infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen and a premium 9-speaker audio system, replacing the basic 4-inch display found in lower trims. You also benefit from dual-zone automatic climate control and selectable drive modes, which allow for a more tailored driving experience on varied road surfaces.

Mustang vs Segment Rivals

The Mustang EcoBoost competes directly with the Chevrolet Camaro 2.0L and the Dodge Challenger SXT. The Ford leads the segment in forced-induction efficiency, offering 310 hp which outpaces the base Challenger's naturally aspirated V6 in torque delivery for better highway overtaking. Its cabin tech, specifically the SYNC 3 interface, is often cited as more intuitive than the early Uconnect or MyLink systems found in 2017 rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.3L EcoBoost typically averages around 10.1 L/100km in mixed GCC driving conditions, offering a significant saving over the 5.0L GT variant. Ford has an extensive authorized service network across the UAE and the wider GCC, ensuring that parts and maintenance are readily available in major cities. While American spec cars depreciate differently than GCC spec, the Mustang remains a high-liquidity asset in the regional used market due to its massive enthusiast following.

Performance & Capability

The 2.3L turbocharged engine delivers a punchy 310 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in approximately 5.8 seconds. This performance is ideal for the fast-moving multi-lane highways of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, providing ample power for merging and overtaking. The rear-wheel-drive chassis is paired with selectable drive modes (Normal, Sport+, Track, and Snow/Wet) to maintain stability even during the occasional winter rain or on sand-dusted road surfaces.

Comfort & Cabin

The Premium cabin is designed for the high-temperature Gulf climate, featuring a powerful dual-zone climate control system and ventilated seats that are a necessity during summer months. The interior is finished in leather with ambient lighting that enhances the executive feel of the coupe. Despite being a sporty fastback, the cabin is well-insulated from road noise, making long-distance trips across borders comfortable for the driver and front passenger.

Safety

This Mustang comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including a rearview camera, electronic stability control, and a total of eight airbags, including knee airbags for the driver and front passenger. The Premium trim often includes additional safety tech such as Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with cross-traffic alert, which is highly effective for navigating the dense, high-speed traffic typical of major GCC highways.

The bottom line

This Mustang Premium is a smart acquisition for the buyer who wants the prestigious look of a modern American icon with the interior luxuries and fuel efficiency required for daily life in the UAE.
