Summary

This Range Rover Evoque HSE Dynamic Convertible offers a truly unique driving experience, combining the elevated stance of a luxury SUV with the open-air freedom of a premium drop-top. With its white exterior—a high-demand color for resale in the UAE—this GCC-spec model is perfectly suited for high-visibility urban cruising and coastal drives. As the top-tier HSE Dynamic trim, it features sportier body styling and significantly enhanced cabin tech compared to base models. While it retains Land Rover’s legendary all-wheel-drive capability and Terrain Response system, it excels as a distinctive lifestyle vehicle for the GCC's well-maintained roads. For the buyer seeking a rare, fashion-forward convertible that doesn't compromise on a commanding road presence, this listing represents a standout opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2017 Range Rover Evoques

With 120,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits at the expected average for a 2017 model in the GCC, where annual distances of 20,000 km are standard. The white exterior is a strategic choice for the region, offering superior heat reflection during summer months and ensuring the strongest possible resale demand. Unlike the standard 5-door variants, this convertible body style is a rare sight on the market, offering significantly higher exclusivity.

HSE Dynamic vs Lower Trims

The HSE Dynamic trim provides a major leap over the SE Dynamic, most notably upgrading the infotainment to the 10.2-inch widescreen InControl Touch Pro system. Exterior styling is enhanced with a dedicated Dynamic body kit, including unique bumpers and textured dual exhaust finishers that give it a more aggressive profile. Inside, you benefit from perforated Oxford leather seating and illuminated treadplates, features that command a premium in the GCC used market.

Range Rover Evoque vs Segment Rivals

In a segment of one, the Evoque Convertible has no direct SUV-convertible rivals, though it is often cross-shopped with the BMW 4 Series Convertible or Audi A5 Cabriolet. It leads these rivals by offering a vastly superior wading depth of 500 mm and the Terrain Response system, allowing for confident driving on sand-drifted coastal roads or during heavy seasonal rains. The command driving position provides visibility that traditional luxury convertibles simply cannot match.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0L turbocharged engine is designed for efficiency on the highway while providing enough torque for city overtaking, with real-world GCC fuel consumption typically averaging between 9 and 13 L/100km depending on traffic. Service centers are widely available across the UAE and the broader GCC, with recommended intervals every 16,000 km or 12 months. This GCC-spec model retains its value better than international imports due to its regional warranty compatibility and cooling systems optimized for the local climate.

Performance & Capability

Delivering 240 hp through a 9-speed automatic transmission, this Evoque reaches 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds and has a verified top speed of 209 km/h. Its All-Wheel Drive system is augmented by Land Rover’s Terrain Response, featuring selectable modes for Grass/Gravel/Snow, Mud and Ruts, and Sand—making it surprisingly capable for weekend beach trips. The chassis has been specifically reinforced to maintain rigidity, ensuring a composed and refined ride even with the top down at highway speeds.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a four-seat sanctuary featuring premium leather and a powerful climate control system engineered to maintain cabin temperatures even in 45°C heat. The Z-fold fabric roof is a mechanical marvel, stowing in just 18 seconds and operating at speeds up to 48 km/h, allowing for quick transitions when the sun sets. Acoustic insulation in the roof ensures that highway wind noise is kept to a minimum, rivaling the refinement of the hardtop model.

Safety

This HSE Dynamic comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Roll Stability Control, which is particularly vital for a convertible SUV, and All-Terrain Progress Control. Standard driver aids like Lane Departure Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking provide peace of mind on busy multi-lane highways like Sheikh Zayed Road. The vehicle also features a reinforced A-pillar and a hidden roll-over protection system that deploys in milliseconds if a tilt is detected.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for a style-conscious buyer in the UAE who wants the prestige of a Range Rover with the unique flair of a four-seat convertible. It is a rare, GCC-spec example that perfectly balances seasonal open-top enjoyment with year-round SUV practicality.
