Summary

This 2019 Range Rover HSE is a refined choice for GCC buyers seeking a balance of luxury and genuine off-road capability. With 113,000 km, its mileage is exactly on par for a car of this age in the region, where highway commuting between emirates is the norm. The black-on-black color combination remains one of the strongest for resale value in the UAE market, offering a timeless aesthetic that appeals to a wide range of buyers. Powered by the smooth supercharged V6, it provides reliable performance for high-speed highway overtaking while maintaining better fuel efficiency than the V8 alternatives. For the executive driver or family, this GCC-spec example offers the quintessential Range Rover experience with the tech and comfort expected in the modern market.

This Car vs Other 2019 Range Rovers

At 113,000 km, this vehicle's mileage is average for a 7-year-old car in the GCC, where 20,000 km per year is the standard benchmark for well-traveled highway cars. The black exterior is a premier resale choice in the local market, holding its value significantly better than brighter or niche colors. This balance of reasonable mileage and a high-demand color palette makes it a safe and smart choice for future trade-in value.

HSE vs Lower Trims

The HSE trim adds essential luxury features that GCC buyers prioritize, including a standard panoramic sunroof and upgraded 20-inch alloy wheels. Inside, you get premium perforated Windsor leather and 16-way power-adjustable heated front seats, a significant step up from the base model's standard seating. It also includes the high-fidelity 13-speaker Meridian sound system, providing an acoustic cabin experience suited for long desert drives.

Range Rover vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the BMW X7 or Mercedes-Benz GLS, the Range Rover offers superior off-road hardware, including its world-renowned Terrain Response system. It leads the segment in wading depth and ground clearance, making it as capable in the dunes as it is on the E11 highway. While rivals focus on road-biased dynamics, the Range Rover remains the benchmark for those who may actually take their luxury SUV off the asphalt.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.0L supercharged V6 is known for its durability in high-heat environments and returns roughly 10.8 L/100km on combined cycles, making it more practical for daily use in Dubai or Riyadh traffic than the V8. Authorized service centers like Al Tayer and Premier Motors are widely available across the UAE, with a typical GCC service interval of 13,000 km. While European luxury SUVs depreciate faster than Japanese models, the Range Rover HSE holds a strong 32% residual value at the three-year mark in the GCC.

Performance & Capability

With 340 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque, this SUV reaches 100 km/h in just 7.2 seconds, offering plenty of punch for highway merging. The 8-speed automatic transmission is tuned for smooth shifts, and the standard air suspension provides a 'magic carpet' ride over uneven surfaces. Its selectable terrain modes allow the driver to calibrate the all-wheel-drive system for sand, grass, or gravel at the turn of a dial.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the GCC summer heat, featuring a powerful tri-zone climate control system and high-quality insulation. The Touch Pro Duo system with dual 10-inch screens provides modern connectivity, while the 5-seat layout ensures ample legroom for all passengers. Large glass areas and the panoramic roof create an airy feel, though the gesture-operated sunblind is essential for keeping the interior cool during peak daylight.

Safety

Standard safety tech on this HSE trim includes lane departure warning and low-speed forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking. For GCC highway driving, the front and rear parking sensors and a high-resolution rearview camera make navigating tight city spaces simple. The vehicle's advanced stability control is specifically tuned to manage the SUV's weight during high-speed maneuvers on sand-dusted roads.

The bottom line

For the buyer who wants the status of a full-size Range Rover without the high running costs of a V8, this well-maintained HSE is the ideal entry into the brand's flagship lineup.
