Summary

This GCC-spec 2019 GLS 450 presents a significant buying opportunity, with its white exterior being one of the most sought-after colors for resale in the local market. With 79,000 km, it has been driven roughly 15,800 km annually, which sits comfortably below the average UAE yearly usage of 20,000 km for large family SUVs. As a monocoque luxury crossover, it offers superior road refinement compared to body-on-frame rivals, making it ideal for the long highway commutes between Emirates. The 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system ensures stability during sudden rain or on gravel tracks, while the 3.0L twin-turbo V6 provides a perfect balance of power and highway efficiency. For a GCC buyer, this specific listing combines a high-demand regional spec with below-average mileage for its age.

This Car vs Other 2019 GLS450s

With 79,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven less than the typical 100,000+ km found on many five-year-old SUVs in the UAE. Its white exterior is the strongest resale color in the GCC, offering better heat reflection in summer and holding value better than darker shades. Being a GCC-spec model, it features the specific cooling and filtration systems required to handle the region's extreme heat and dust.

4MATIC vs Lower Trims

The GLS 450 4MATIC sits as the established entry point for the flagship SUV, providing the AIRMATIC air suspension as standard for a level of ride comfort lower models cannot match. This trim includes the biturbo V6 which offers significantly more torque for highway overtaking than the older GLS 400. GCC-spec 4MATIC models also typically include enhanced climate control packages designed for rapid cabin cooling.

GLS450 vs Segment Rivals

The GLS leads rivals like the BMW X7 and Range Rover in total cargo flexibility, offering up to 2,400 liters of space with all rear seats folded. Its 100-litre fuel tank provides a massive cruising range, a distinct advantage over competitors for long-distance drives across the GCC borders. The dedicated 7-seat configuration offers genuine adult legroom in the third row, whereas many rivals treat it as a children-only space.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 13.2 L/100km in mixed GCC driving, though highway cruising is notably more efficient. Service intervals are typically every 15,000 km or 12 months, with an extensive network of authorized Mercedes-Benz centers across the UAE and wider GCC ensuring parts availability. This model year benefits from a stabilized depreciation curve, and as a white GCC-spec flagship, it retains a higher percentage of its value than American or European imports.

Performance & Capability

The 367 hp biturbo engine delivers a 0–100 km/h time of approximately 6.6 seconds, providing plenty of power for merging into fast-moving highway traffic. Standard AIRMATIC suspension allows the driver to raise the vehicle for light desert tracks or lower it for improved aerodynamics at high speeds. With a 3,500 kg towing capacity, it is perfectly suited for transporting boats or trailers for weekend adventures.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior features a full 7-seat layout with power-folding third-row seats for easy access. The GCC climate is managed by a powerful multi-zone climate control system with dedicated rear vents to ensure every passenger stays cool during peak summer. Acoustic glass and high-grade insulation keep the cabin exceptionally quiet, even at the high cruising speeds common on the E11 and E311 highways.

Safety

This GLS comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Pre-Safe collision preparation and Active Brake Assist, which are crucial for high-speed highway driving. The standard 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system provides superior traction on sand-blown tarmac or during occasional heavy rain. Standard driver attention monitoring and blind-spot assistance provide additional peace of mind for long family road trips across the Emirates.

The bottom line

For the family buyer who prioritizes safety and refinement, this low-mileage GCC-spec GLS 450 in the market's best resale color represents an intelligent and reliable choice.
