Summary

This 2019 Toyota Hilux GL is a quintessentially durable workhorse, featuring the reliable 2.7-liter petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. With mileage at 77,500 km, this truck sits well below the average for a commercial vehicle of its age in the GCC, where heavy usage is the norm. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the local used market, ensuring maximum heat reflection and superior resale liquidity. As a rear-wheel-drive single cab, it offers the ideal balance of payload efficiency and mechanical simplicity for business or private utility. For any buyer in the region, the peace of mind provided by Toyota’s unmatched parts availability and service infrastructure makes this listing a standout choice.

This Car vs Other 2019 Hiluxs

At 77,500 km, this Hilux has been driven significantly less than the typical 25,000 km per year average for GCC-based pickups. Its white exterior remains the strongest resale color in the regional market, providing a clear advantage when it comes time to trade in. The petrol manual configuration is particularly valued by local buyers for its long-term mechanical simplicity and lower maintenance overhead compared to complex diesel or automatic alternatives.

GL vs Lower Trims

The GL trim serves as a vital step up from the base commercial specifications, adding essential features like Bluetooth connectivity and a 2-speaker audio system. While higher trims introduce luxury items like leather and touchscreens, the GL focuses on utility-driven upgrades including fabric seats and better cabin insulation. It provides the core comforts required for daily GCC driving without the added complexity of higher-end electronics.

Hilux vs Segment Rivals

The Hilux leads its segment in the GCC primarily through its massive service network and proven reliability under extreme heat, outperforming the Mitsubishi L200 in long-term value retention. Compared to the Nissan Navara, the Hilux offers a more traditional body-on-frame setup that is easier to repair and find parts for in remote areas. Its 80-litre fuel tank provides a generous range for long-distance highway hauls between emirates.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.7L petrol engine averages between 10.5L and 11.2L/100km, performing efficiently on Mogas 91 which is widely available across the GCC. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, supported by the most extensive authorized dealer network in the Middle East. Historically, the Hilux retains approximately 60% of its value after five years, significantly outperforming its nearest competitors in the UAE and Saudi markets.

Performance & Capability

The 164 hp engine provides consistent torque of 245 Nm, which is perfectly suited for hauling payloads across varied GCC terrains. With a payload capacity reaching up to 1,000 kg depending on configuration, this single-cab model is designed for serious utility. The 5-speed manual transmission gives the driver full control over power delivery, making it a reliable performer for both city site-visits and highway cruising.

Comfort & Cabin

The two-seat single-cab layout provides a focused work environment with ample headroom and durable fabric upholstery designed to withstand heavy use. A powerful air conditioning system is standard, a non-negotiable feature for the extreme GCC summer months. The cabin is designed for ergonomic simplicity, ensuring that all controls are within easy reach during long shifts behind the wheel.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes dual front airbags, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD). These core systems provide essential protection on the fast-moving highways of the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The vehicle is also equipped with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System, which is critical for maintaining safety during high-temperature road conditions.

The bottom line

For the business owner or individual needing a reliable, low-mileage workhorse with the best resale profile in the GCC, this Hilux GL is the benchmark choice. Its mechanical simplicity and white-on-grey configuration make it a safe, smart investment for the local market.
