Summary

This Range Rover Vogue LWB offers the ideal balance of mileage and age for the GCC market, with 49,550 km spread over 5 years indicating careful usage well below the regional average of 25,000 km per year. The long-wheelbase configuration adds 192 mm of rear legroom, transforming the back seat into a first-class executive lounge suitable for long-distance cruising. Finished in blue—a stable resale choice for luxury SUVs in the UAE—this Canadian-spec vehicle provides a high-spec entry point into the flagship Range Rover experience. For a GCC buyer, the supercharged 5.0L V8 is a prestigious and durable choice that remains highly sought after for its effortless highway overtaking and smooth power delivery. While imported, this model is mechanically identical to local variants, though buyers should ensure a local service history for maximum value retention.

This Car vs Other 2021 Range Rovers

With just 49,550 km, this vehicle has covered significantly less ground than a typical 5-year-old car in the GCC, where 100,000 km is the expected benchmark. The blue exterior offers a distinctive yet sophisticated alternative to the common white or silver, holding strong appeal in the Dubai luxury used market. As a Long Wheelbase (LWB) model, it commands a premium over standard wheelbase variants due to the vastly superior rear-cabin experience.

VOGUE LWB vs Lower Trims

The Vogue LWB trim significantly upgrades the standard model with 20-way heated front seats, a 360-degree camera system, and the sophisticated Meridian Surround Sound system as standard. It also includes the crucial four-zone climate control and a refrigerated front centre console, both of which are high-priority features for staying comfortable in the GCC summer. The LWB specifically adds extended rear doors and nearly 20 cm of additional legroom not found on the base Vogue or HSE trims.

Range Rover vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS, the Range Rover leads with its superior Terrain Response 2 system, allowing it to handle sand and soft gravel surfaces that would challenge its German rivals. The Range Rover LWB provides a more focused rear-passenger experience than the GLS, prioritizing legroom and seat comfort over a crowded third row. Its 104-litre fuel tank is a major advantage for non-stop drives between Dubai and Riyadh, offering greater highway range than most competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The supercharged 5.0L V8 averages approximately 12.7 L/100km on a combined cycle, though GCC highway cruising can see improved efficiency. Maintenance in the UAE is well-supported by both authorized centers like Al Tayer and premium independent specialists, with recommended service intervals every 13,000 km or 12 months. While GCC-spec cars typically hold a 10-15% value premium, a well-maintained Canadian-spec vehicle with documented service history remains a highly liquid asset in the regional market due to the high global demand for this specific V8 powertrain.

Performance & Capability

The 525 hp supercharged V8 engine delivers a top speed of 225 km/h, ensuring the Range Rover never feels underpowered during fast-moving highway merges. Its All Wheel Drive system is paired with an electronic air suspension that can raise the vehicle to clear significant obstacles, offering a maximum ground clearance of nearly 297 mm. Whether navigating city traffic or venturing on a desert weekend, the selectable terrain modes—including Sand, Grass/Gravel/Snow, and Mud/Ruts—adjust the throttle and gearbox to ensure maximum traction.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of Windsor leather and wood veneers, featuring five seats that benefit from a massive panoramic sliding roof. Specifically for the Middle Eastern climate, the four-zone climate control ensures every passenger has individual cooling, while the refrigerated compartment in the armrest keeps beverages chilled on long drives. Acoustic laminated glass and active noise cancellation provide a remarkably quiet environment, insulating passengers from both desert wind noise and city traffic.

Safety

Standard safety features on this trim include a 360-degree parking aid, blind-spot monitoring, and high-speed emergency braking to protect against sudden highway stops. The All-Terrain Progress Control acts as a low-speed cruise control for tricky surfaces, while the lane-keep assist and driver condition monitor provide essential support during long cross-border road trips. With multiple airbags and a reinforced aluminum chassis, it remains one of the safest luxury SUVs on the road.

The bottom line

This 2021 Range Rover Vogue LWB is the perfect choice for an executive buyer who values low mileage and the extra space of the extended wheelbase without the extreme depreciation of a brand-new model. It offers a high-specification flagship experience at a market-competitive price point due to its Canadian provenance.
