Summary

This 2022 Bentley Bentayga S offers a compelling mid-life opportunity with 55,000 km, aligning with the typical higher annual usage seen on GCC highways while benefiting from meticulous Bentley build quality. The S trim stands out for its aggressive Blackline aesthetics and sport-focused chassis tuning, making it a sharper alternative to the standard V8 models often found in the market. In the GCC, the bold Purple exterior serves as a distinctive choice that caters to the region's taste for unique luxury commissions, often commanding attention in a sea of monochrome rivals. The primary ownership consideration here is the presence of the 4.0L V8, a powertrain renowned locally for its reliability and balance between performance and daily usability across the Emirates.

This Car vs Other 2022 Bentaygas

With 55,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven approximately 13,750 km per year, which is significantly lower than the GCC annual average of 20,000–25,000 km. This lower-than-average mileage makes it a standout choice for buyers looking for a fresh mechanical state in a 4-year-old vehicle. The unique Purple finish is a rare find in the pre-owned market, offering a level of exclusivity that often helps maintain long-term value for collectors of bespoke luxury SUVs.

S vs Lower Trims

The S trim adds significant performance hardware over the standard Bentayga V8, most notably the Bentley Dynamic Ride system which uses 48V active anti-roll bars to flatten cornering—a feature vital for maintaining composure on fast-moving GCC highway interchanges. It also introduces a more vocal Sports Exhaust and a dedicated Sport Mode that sharpens throttle response. Visually, the S includes the Blackline Specification and 22-inch wheels as standard, alongside dark-tinted lamps that provide a much more modern and aggressive road presence than the base model.

Bentayga vs Segment Rivals

The Bentayga S competes directly with the Lamborghini Urus and the Aston Martin DBX. While the Urus focuses on raw track-like aggression, the Bentley leads with its 85-litre fuel tank, providing superior range for long cross-border drives between Dubai and Riyadh. The cabin refinement and acoustic glass offer better insulation from the intense GCC summer heat compared to the more driver-focused Aston Martin, ensuring a serene environment during heavy city traffic.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 13.2 L/100km combined, though this will increase in stop-start Dubai or Riyadh traffic. Owners can rely on the extensive authorized service network through Al Habtoor Motors in the UAE and similar prestige partners across the GCC, with major service intervals typically occurring every 16,000 km. While luxury SUVs in this segment depreciate faster than Japanese alternatives, the Bentayga S holds its value better than standard trims due to its higher demand among enthusiasts. GCC-spec vehicles like this one carry a significant price and trust premium locally compared to imported North American or European models.

Performance & Capability

The 550 PS twin-turbo V8 delivers a 0-100 km/h time of just 4.5 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on the E11 highway. The S-specific suspension tuning allows for high-speed stability while the permanent Four Wheel Drive ensures grip on the gravel tracks leading to desert weekend retreats. With a 3,500 kg braked towing capacity, it is as capable of hauling luxury marine equipment as it is of high-speed grand touring between emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin features a unique S-trim color split, utilizing Alcantara elements that stay cooler to the touch than full leather during peak summer months. Four-zone automatic climate control is standard, ensuring that every passenger remains comfortable even when external temperatures exceed 45°C. The 10.9-inch touchscreen digital cockpit provides seamless wireless connectivity, while the acoustic side glass significantly reduces wind noise during high-speed cruising.

Safety

This trim comes equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite including Adaptive Cruise Control, which is indispensable for the long, straight desert highways of the region. Blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alerts provide essential assistance on the UAE's multi-lane highway systems. The standard 360-degree camera system makes maneuvering this large SUV into tight city parking spaces effortless, while front and rear collision mitigation systems offer an extra layer of protection in fast-moving urban traffic.

The bottom line

This Bentayga S is the ideal match for a buyer who wants the prestige of a Bentley paired with a more athletic, modern personality. Its below-average mileage and unique color profile make it a highly attractive opportunity in the current GCC luxury market.
