Summary

This specific SUV represents a compelling opportunity for those who want the rugged charm of a modern icon without the premium price tag of a factory-new unit. The grey exterior is highly sought after in the GCC market, offering a neutral tone that masks desert dust effectively while maintaining strong resale demand in the UAE. As an American spec vehicle, it provides a unique feature set often found in that market while remaining fully compatible with the extensive parts network available in local cities like Dubai and Sharjah. This trim level is a smart buy because it balances essential mechanical hardware with a comfortable interior suited for daily commuting. Its four-cylinder turbocharged setup is particularly well-suited for the region, offering enough power for sand dunes while remaining more efficient than larger V8 alternatives during city driving in Riyadh or Abu Dhabi. For a buyer looking for a versatile off-roader that feels as home at the mall as it does in the Wadi, this listing is a standout choice.

This Car vs Other 2022 Broncos

The mileage on this vehicle is consistent with the higher annual averages typically seen in the GCC, where highway-heavy commutes between Emirates or cross-border trips are the norm. While cars of this age usually average around 20,000 to 25,000 km per year locally, this example has been driven slightly more, suggesting it was likely used for long-distance highway travel rather than punishing short-cycle city traffic. From a mechanical standpoint, these highway kilometers are often easier on the transmission and cooling systems compared to stop-and-go urban driving. The grey finish is an excellent choice for the region's climate, reflecting heat better than black or dark blue and making it a preferred option for the second-hand market. It represents a well-traveled but mechanically seasoned example that has already navigated its steepest depreciation curve, offering great value compared to low-mileage alternatives that command a significant premium. This makes it an ideal entry point for someone who intends to actually use the vehicle for its intended purpose rather than keeping it as a garage queen.

BIG BEND vs Lower Trims

Choosing this specific trim over the base model provides a noticeable upgrade in both aesthetics and functionality that GCC buyers will appreciate. It introduces leather-wrapped steering wheels and gear shifts, which offer a more premium tactile feel and better durability against the intense summer heat compared to standard plastic finishes. You also benefit from upgraded 17-inch carbonized grey-painted aluminum wheels which significantly enhance the vehicle's stance and curb appeal in UAE urban environments. This trim also unlocks additional G.O.A.T. (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) modes, providing specialized settings for sand and slippery surfaces that are essential for weekend excursions into the desert. Inside, the inclusion of more sophisticated interior trim materials and better sound insulation makes the cabin a much quieter place during high-speed highway cruising. It essentially bridges the gap between a utilitarian workhorse and a comfortable daily driver, ensuring you don't feel like you are compromising on creature comforts while pursuing adventure.

Bronco vs Segment Rivals

When compared to segment rivals like the Jeep Wrangler or the Toyota FJ Cruiser, this vehicle stands out for its superior road manners and modern interior technology. While the Wrangler is a formidable off-roader, this model offers a more stable independent front suspension that makes the daily commute between Dubai and Abu Dhabi much more relaxed. Against the FJ Cruiser, this vehicle provides a more modern turbocharged powertrain that offers higher torque at lower RPMs, which is a massive advantage when trying to power through soft sand. It also features a more flexible interior layout and newer infotainment systems that make it feel like a current-generation vehicle rather than a relic of the past. The driving position and visibility are also superior to its main competitors, providing the driver with more confidence in heavy multi-lane highway traffic. For those who need a vehicle that can truly do it all without the compromises inherent in older platform designs, this is the clear leader.

Running Costs & Resale

Running costs for this 2.3L EcoBoost engine are surprisingly manageable given the vehicle's size and capability. In typical GCC driving, you can expect a combined fuel consumption that outperforms larger displacement SUVs, especially during long highway stretches at 120 km/h. Ford's authorized service network is well-established across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring that routine maintenance is straightforward and parts are readily available. This American spec model is well-known in the local market, and because it shares many components with other global Ford models, independent specialists in the UAE are also very capable of maintaining it outside of the dealership network. Historically, this model has shown incredible value retention in the GCC, often losing less than 10-12% of its value annually, which is significantly better than European luxury SUVs. At the three-year mark, these vehicles remain high-demand items on the used market, ensuring that when you are ready to upgrade, your exit cost will be relatively low compared to the initial investment.

Performance & Capability

The 300 horsepower delivered by the turbocharged engine provides plenty of punch for both highway overtaking and navigating steep dunes. With 440 Nm of torque available early in the rev range, it feels responsive and energetic, never struggling even when fully loaded with gear for a camping trip. The four-wheel-drive system is robust, featuring a proper low-range transfer case that allows for genuine rock crawling and deep sand recovery. Ground clearance is a major highlight, allowing you to clear obstacles that would stop a standard crossover in its tracks. The 10-speed automatic transmission is finely tuned to keep the engine in its power band, whether you are climbing a mountain pass or cruising through the city. For GCC residents who enjoy the 'outdoor lifestyle,' the towing capacity is sufficient for jet skis or small campers, making it a versatile tool for weekend recreation across the Emirates. It perfectly translates its heritage into a package that handles the extreme heat and varied terrain of the Arabian Peninsula with ease.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the cabin is designed to be both durable and comfortable, featuring materials that are easy to clean after a day at the beach or in the desert. The air conditioning system is exceptionally powerful, a critical factor for the GCC's long summers, and it is capable of cooling the entire cabin rapidly even after the car has been parked in the sun. Seating for five is generous, with plenty of headroom and legroom for adult passengers in the rear, making it a viable option for small families. The infotainment system is intuitive and responsive, featuring smartphone integration which is essential for navigating through rapidly changing city layouts. Sound insulation has been carefully engineered to minimize wind noise, which can be a common issue with removable-top vehicles at high speeds. The doors-count of three gives it a sporty, classic silhouettes that stands out in a sea of five-door family haulers. It provides a cockpit-like experience for the driver while ensuring that passengers remain comfortable on long cross-country drives.

Safety

Safety is a priority, and this trim comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of driver-assist technologies designed for modern traffic. Features like pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking provide an extra layer of protection during the fast-paced and sometimes unpredictable driving conditions found on major GCC highways. The blind-spot information system with cross-traffic alert is particularly useful for a vehicle of this size, making lane changes and reversing out of parking spaces much safer. You also get lane-keeping assistance which helps reduce driver fatigue during long, straight desert drives between major cities. The vehicle's architecture is built with high-strength steel and includes a full array of airbags, contributing to its impressive safety ratings. These systems work together to provide peace of mind, whether you are navigating the urban density of Riyadh or heading out on a solo adventure into the wilderness.

The bottom line

This Bronco is the perfect match for the adventurous UAE resident who wants a modern, iconic 4x4 with strong resale value and proven reliability. This specific listing offers the best balance of off-road capability and daily-driver comfort, making it a highly logical purchase in the current market.
