Summary

This 2022 Ford Mustang GT Premium is a standout find in the GCC market, combining a very low mileage of just 23,318 km with the highly sought-after 5.0L V8 engine. As a four-year-old vehicle, it has been driven significantly less than the typical 80,000–100,000 km expected for its age in this region, making it an ideal long-term prospect for enthusiasts. The Deep Blue exterior is a strong resale color in the UAE, maintaining better value retention than more eccentric shades. While many competitors are moving toward smaller turbocharged engines, this Mustang delivers the raw, naturally aspirated character that local buyers crave. It is a mechanically robust choice, built to handle the intense heat of the GCC with the added comfort of the Premium trim's cooled cabin features.

This Car vs Other 2022 Mustangs

With only 23,318 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits well below the average 20,000–25,000 km annual usage typically seen in the GCC. While many 2022 models have surpassed the 70,000 km mark, this example remains in a much earlier stage of its mechanical life. The blue paintwork is a classic and popular choice in the local used market, often commanding a quicker sale and stronger price point than non-standard colors.

GT PREMIUM vs Lower Trims

The GT Premium trim is a significant step up from the base GT, adding essential comfort features for the GCC climate, most notably the ventilated (cooled) front seats. It also replaces the standard cloth with genuine leather upholstery and upgrades the infotainment to the SYNC 3 system with a larger 8-inch touchscreen and a premium 9-speaker audio setup. These additions not only improve the daily driving experience but are the specific features local buyers look for at resale.

Mustang vs Segment Rivals

When cross-shopped against the Chevrolet Camaro SS and Dodge Challenger R/T, the Mustang GT leads with a balance of modern cabin technology and high-revving engine character. Its 5.0L V8 is renowned for its linear power delivery and aftermarket parts availability across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The Mustang's interior layout is generally considered more ergonomic for daily use compared to its rivals, offering better visibility and more intuitive tech.

Running Costs & Resale

The naturally aspirated V8 is a durable powertrain designed for long-term reliability in high-temperature environments. Real-world fuel consumption typically averages around 13.4 L/100km, reflecting a mix of city traffic and highway cruising. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from the region's extensive Ford service network (including Al Tayer and Premier Motors), ensuring parts and expertise are always accessible. Mustang GT models hold their value well in the GCC, typically depreciating at a slower rate of 10–12% annually compared to European sports coupes.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this car is the 435 hp Coyote V8, capable of a verified 0–100 km/h sprint in just 4.9 seconds. This performance is delivered through a smooth 10-speed automatic transmission that is optimized for both spirited driving and efficient highway overtaking. Selectable drive modes allow the driver to sharpen throttle response and steering weight, making it equally capable for weekend drives at Jebel Jais or a comfortable commute between Emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is tailored for the GCC summer, featuring a dual-zone automatic climate control system and ventilated seats that are essential during July and August. The 4-seat configuration includes a cockpit-style driver's position with power-adjustable leather seats. Ambient lighting and the premium audio system create an upscale atmosphere, while the cabin insulation effectively blocks out road noise during long-distance highway runs.

Safety

Standard safety features on the GT Premium include the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite, offering blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert—a vital tool for the fast-moving multi-lane highways of the UAE. It also features lane-keeping assist, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, and a high-resolution rearview camera. These active systems, combined with the car's 5-star NHTSA safety rating, provide peace of mind in both dense urban traffic and open desert roads.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer seeking an iconic American V8 with exceptionally low mileage, this GCC-spec GT Premium offers the perfect blend of performance and regional suitability. It is a rare opportunity to own a nearly new Mustang that is already equipped with the high-spec features required for local comfort and resale strength.
