Summary

This 2022 Lamborghini Urus represents the ideal entry point into super-SUV ownership, featuring the highly desirable GCC specification for total peace of mind in the region. Finished in a versatile Grey that holds strong resale value in the UAE market, this example balances a respectable mileage with the meticulous care typical of the brand's local enthusiasts. As the model that redefined the performance crossover segment, it offers a level of visceral engagement that rivals from Aston Martin and Bentley struggle to match. For the GCC buyer, the combination of high-altitude performance and reliable cooling makes this a robust daily driver for both city commutes and long-distance desert highway runs.

This Car vs Other 2022 Urus's

With 67,000 km, this Urus has been driven slightly more than the typical 'garage queen' but sits well within the expected range for a high-performance daily in the GCC. The Grey exterior is a strategic choice for the local market, as neutral tones tend to attract a wider pool of buyers and retain value better than louder, experimental colors. It offers a transparent mechanical history that is often preferred over lower-mileage examples that have sat idle for long periods.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The Urus effectively exists as a high-specification standalone trim for the 2022 model year, coming standard with hardware that would be optional on most luxury SUVs. This includes the adaptive air suspension, carbon-ceramic brakes, and the sophisticated 4-wheel steering system that makes the vehicle feel significantly smaller in tight Dubai parking. It also features the full Lamborghini Infotainment System (LIS) with dual haptic-feedback touchscreens and a digital cockpit as standard equipment.

Urus vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Bentley Bentayga and Aston Martin DBX, the Urus is the clear choice for the driver who prioritizes aggressive performance and a supercar-derived aesthetic. While the Bentley focuses on traditional wood-and-leather luxury, the Lamborghini offers a technical, cockpit-like environment and a more responsive 8-speed transmission tuned for rapid shifts. Its AWD system is also notably more rear-biased, providing a sportier handling characteristic on the winding roads of Jebel Jais.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages approximately 12.7 L/100km, though this will increase in stop-start city traffic in Riyadh or Dubai. Service intervals are required every 15,000 km or once annually, and the UAE boasts one of the world's strongest authorized Lamborghini service networks. The Urus continues to show exceptional value retention in the GCC, typically losing only 12–15% of its value annually, which is superior to almost every other vehicle in the exotic SUV segment.

Performance & Capability

The 650 hp twin-turbo V8 delivers a relentless 850 Nm of torque, allowing for effortless highway overtaking at any speed. The ANIMA selector provides dedicated modes for different environments, including Neve (snow/slick) and Terra (off-road), which adjust the air suspension to a maximum ground clearance of nearly 250 mm. This versatility makes it one of the few supercars that can genuinely handle a weekend trip to a desert resort without compromise.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat configuration features a 40/20/40 split-folding rear bench, offering a practical 616 liters of boot space for family travel. The cabin is specifically engineered for high-temperature climates, featuring a powerful multi-zone climate control system and high-quality leather that resists solar heating better than synthetic alternatives. Acoustic glass is standard, ensuring the roar of the V8 is only heard when you want it to be, keeping the cabin serene during long cross-border drives.

Safety

This Urus comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Monitoring, which are essential for navigating fast-moving multi-lane highways. The 360-degree camera system provides a virtual bird's-eye view to protect the large alloy wheels during urban maneuvers. Advanced stability control and active torque vectoring work continuously to maintain traction on sand-dusted road surfaces common throughout the region.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec Urus is the perfect acquisition for a professional looking for supercar thrills without sacrificing family utility, offered in a resale-friendly color and backed by the region's best service infrastructure.
