Land Rover Bowler Defender 90
One of only 3 left hand drive Bowler Defender 90s in the world, with less than 4,000 kilometres since new.
Bowler Motorsport was founded in 1985. They were made famous for their stage rally success, and for their legendary models such as the Wildcat and Nemesis. They are now an internal branch of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), and created only 5 production Defender 90s for their one-make championship.
This example has covered less than 4,000 km since new and was driven by Nicky Grist (co-driver of WRC legend Colin McRae) in Morocco in 2023.
Bowler’s Defender 90 includes a long list of modifications and upgrades such as:
Full FIA specification roll cage (integrated with the body)
Full size spare wheel
Fox Racing shocks
Increased cooling
5-point racing harness
Front and side sill kickplates
Brighter front and rear lights
Easily replaceable plastic bumpers
Tougher 18 inch wheels (1.25 tonne load rating)
Dust/wade snorkel
Shorter doors to accommodate sill protection
6 mudflaps
Two Cobra racing seats
The car still retains SOME luxuries however, such as Apple Car Play, Android Auto, and the original 296 BHP 400 NM turbo 4 cylinder and gearbox from land Rover.
