Ford Bronco RAPTOR

• 2,041 kg braked towing capacity
• 418 hp from a 3.0L twin-turbo V6

Summary

This Bronco Raptor is a standout find in the GCC market, offering the pinnacle of Ford's off-road engineering with significantly lower wear than typical high-mileage desert rigs of this age. The Grey exterior is one of the most resilient and sought-after colors for resale in the region, hiding desert dust well while maintaining a premium look. As the range-topping trim, it provides a massive leap in capability over the standard Bronco, making it a rare dual-purpose vehicle that dominates dunes on weekends and highways during the week. For a GCC buyer, the most important consideration is the robust authorized service network and the model's specialized cooling systems designed to handle extreme summer heat.

This Car vs Other 2023 Broncos

With 67,510 km, this vehicle sits right at the average for a GCC-based daily driver, which typically sees 20,000–25,000 km per year. Unlike many American-spec imports found in the UAE, this is a genuine GCC-spec unit, ensuring full compatibility with local service centers and a higher long-term resale value. The Grey paint remains a top-tier choice for the local market, offering better value retention than more niche or vibrant colors.

RAPTOR vs Lower Trims

The Raptor adds substantial upgrades over the Wildtrak, most notably the HOSS 4.0 suspension with FOX Live Valve 3.1 dampers and a much wider track for high-speed stability. It is the only trim to feature the high-output 3.0L engine and heavy-duty 37-inch all-terrain tires as standard. Inside, it gains Raptor-exclusive bolstered seating and carbon fiber accents that define its position as the premium performance flagship.

Bronco vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392, the Bronco Raptor offers superior high-speed desert stability thanks to its wider stance and independent front suspension. While the Land Cruiser 300 focuses on traditional luxury, the Raptor leads in technical off-road geometry with a massive 333 mm of ground clearance. Its 10-speed transmission is specifically tuned for the long-distance highway hauls common between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 15.3 L/100km, which is expected for a high-performance SUV in GCC stop-start traffic and highway cruising. As a GCC-spec Ford, it benefits from an extensive service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with parts readily available. The Raptor trim holds its value exceptionally well compared to standard models, typically seeing lower annual depreciation due to its limited availability and high enthusiast demand.

Performance & Capability

The 418 hp twin-turbo V6 delivers effortless power for overtaking on fast-moving highways and climbing the steepest dunes in Liwa. Its specialized G.O.A.T. modes allow the driver to transition seamlessly from rock crawling to high-speed Baja desert running. With a 2,041 kg towing capacity, it easily handles jet skis or small trailers for weekend expeditions across the Emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the GCC climate, featuring a high-performance air conditioning system and heavy-duty materials that resist sand and heat. The 12-inch digital cockpit provides clear visibility even in direct midday sun, while the 5-seat layout offers ample legroom for family road trips. Sound insulation is enhanced in the Raptor to provide a quieter highway experience despite the aggressive 37-inch tires.

Safety

Standard safety features include a 360-degree camera system, which is essential for navigating tight parking and off-road obstacles. It also features Ford's Co-Pilot360 suite with blind-spot monitoring and lane-keeping assist, providing peace of mind during long desert highway drives. The reinforced chassis and advanced stability control are specifically tuned to keep the vehicle composed on both loose sand and high-speed asphalt.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec Raptor is the ideal choice for the enthusiast who needs a daily-drivable SUV that requires zero modifications to conquer the toughest terrain in the region. It represents a secure investment in one of the most capable and well-supported off-roaders currently available in the Middle East.
