Summary

This 2023 Range Rover HSE P530 represents a significant opportunity for GCC buyers, offering the highly sought-after 4.4L V8 powertrain with relatively low mileage for its age. As the latest generation (L460), it delivers a much sharper driving experience and more advanced cabin technology than its predecessor, while the Black-on-Black configuration remains the strongest resale combination in the regional market. This specific trim bridges the gap between the standard SE and the ultra-luxury Autobiography, providing the essential high-output performance and cooled seating required for the Gulf climate. For a serious buyer in the UAE or wider GCC, it offers the perfect balance of immediate availability and a well-preserved mechanical history.

This Car vs Other 2023 Range Rovers

At 32,000 km, this Range Rover has been driven roughly 16,000 km per year, which is significantly lower than the typical 25,000 km annual average for luxury SUVs in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The Black exterior is the top-performing resale color across the GCC, ensuring it holds a value premium over more niche paint options when it comes time to trade in.

HSE P530 vs Lower Trims

The HSE P530 replaces the standard 6-cylinder engine with a formidable 4.4L Twin-Turbo V8, a must-have for GCC highway overtaking and desert road presence. Beyond the engine, the HSE trim adds essential regional luxuries like ventilated front and rear seats, a 3D Surround Camera system for tight urban parking, and the superior Meridian 3D Surround Sound system as standard.

Range Rover vs Segment Rivals

While the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS offer comparable tech, the Range Rover remains the only one in the segment to feature a genuine 900 mm wading depth and a two-speed transfer case for off-road versatility. Its sophisticated all-wheel steering gives it a smaller turning circle than many smaller SUVs, making it surprisingly nimble in city traffic across Dubai and Riyadh.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the P530 V8 typically ranges between 11.5L and 12.0L/100km, which is efficient for a heavy SUV thanks to its modern mild-hybrid assistance. Being a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from a wide authorized service network including Al Tayer and Euro Motors, ensuring high trust at resale. The L460 generation continues to see stronger value retention than previous models due to high global demand and waitlists.

Performance & Capability

The 523 hp V8 engine allows this luxury SUV to sprint from 0–100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds, providing effortless power for the fast-moving highways of the Emirates. It features a sophisticated air suspension system that can raise the vehicle to provide up to 295 mm of ground clearance, paired with the Terrain Response 2 system which automatically adjusts to sand, rock, or gravel at the touch of a button.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the cabin is designed for the extreme GCC summer, featuring four-zone climate control and a powerful AC system that quickly cools the perforated Windsor leather interior. The Pivi Pro 13.1-inch curved glass touchscreen is intuitive and responsive, while the acoustic laminated glass ensures the interior remains a quiet sanctuary even during high-speed highway cruising between cities.

Safety

This HSE trim comes standard with a comprehensive ADAS suite, including Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist, which is invaluable for long drives on the E11 or E311 highways. Other key safety features include Blind Spot Assist, Rear Traffic Monitor, and ClearSight Ground View, which uses cameras to allow you to see 'through' the hood when navigating tricky terrain or high curbs.

The bottom line

This is a prime example of the latest-generation Range Rover V8 in the GCC's most desirable color, offering low mileage and the perfect HSE specification for the local climate.
