Summary

This 2023 Mercedes-Benz CLA250 Premium offers a sharp, modern alternative to traditional sedans with its signature four-door coupe silhouette. As a GCC-spec vehicle with reasonable mileage for its age, it represents a stable investment in the local market, particularly in high-demand White which ensures strong resale liquidity. The combination of 4MATIC all-wheel drive and the M260 turbocharged engine provides confident handling on both the E11 highway and through tight urban corners. For a GCC buyer, this model balances the prestige of the three-pointed star with a footprint that is easy to manage in congested city traffic.

This Car vs Other 2023 CLA250s

With 57,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits at a typical usage level for a modern professional in the UAE, where annual commutes between emirates often result in higher mileage than global averages. The White exterior is the most preferred color in the GCC used market, offering superior heat reflection during summer months and significantly higher resale demand compared to darker hues. Being a GCC-spec model, it is fully optimized for the region’s extreme temperatures and supported by the extensive official service network.

PREMIUM vs Lower Trims

The Premium trim significantly upgrades the cabin experience over the base Progressive line, adding the dual 10.25-inch MBUX displays that create a full widescreen digital cockpit. It also typically includes the Keyless-Go package and upgraded ambient lighting, features that are highly sought after by local buyers. Unlike lower trims, the Premium often features enhanced seat adjustment memory and high-resolution parking cameras, which are essential for navigating tight mall parking structures in Dubai.

CLA250 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe or the Audi A3 Sedan, the CLA250 leads with a more dramatic exterior design and a 51-liter fuel tank that offers better cruising range for long drives to Oman or Abu Dhabi. Its MBUX infotainment system is widely considered the most intuitive in the compact segment, offering superior voice commands that are useful when driving at highway speeds. The 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system provides a more planted feel than the front-wheel-drive base models of its competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel efficiency is highly competitive, averaging around 6.8 to 7.4 L/100km, which translates to affordable fuel costs for daily commuters. Mercedes-Benz maintains a vast authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with standard service intervals every 15,000 km or 12 months. While European luxury sedans typically see 12-15% annual depreciation, the CLA250’s popularity among younger buyers in the GCC keeps its value retention stronger than many of its peers.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 221 hp 2.0L turbocharged engine, the CLA250 delivers a spirited 0-100 km/h time of 6.4 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. The 350 Nm of torque is available low in the rev range, making highway overtaking effortless even in high-speed GCC traffic. The inclusion of 4MATIC all-wheel drive ensures maximum grip during the occasional rainstorm or on sandy road shoulders, while selectable drive modes allow you to prioritize comfort or sportiness.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is designed with a driver-centric focus, featuring ARTICO leather upholstery and the high-tech MBUX interface. For the GCC climate, the dual-zone Thermotronic climate control is engineered to cool the cabin rapidly even after being parked in the direct sun. Despite the sloping coupe roofline, the front seats offer ample legroom for long-distance journeys, and the acoustic insulation effectively blocks out road noise during high-speed highway cruising.

Safety

This CLA250 comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including Active Brake Assist and Blind Spot Assist, which are vital for the multi-lane highway environment of the GCC. The standard 360-degree camera and Active Parking Assist make maneuvering this sedan simple in tight urban spaces. Additionally, the PRE-SAFE system provides an extra layer of protection by preparing the cabin for a collision, a feature that often comes only as an option on rivals.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec CLA250 Premium is the ideal choice for a style-conscious professional looking for a late-model Mercedes that is still within its prime mechanical window. Its combination of AWD, the preferred White color, and the Premium tech package makes it a high-liquidity asset with excellent daily usability.
