Summary

This 2023 Mitsubishi Attrage GLX Highline offers a compelling balance of modern features and class-leading economy for the GCC driver. With mileage that aligns perfectly with typical UAE commuting patterns, it remains an ideal choice for school runs or city-to-city highway trips. The silver exterior is a top-tier choice for the local market, ensuring superior heat reflection in the summer and high demand at resale. As a Highline trim, it provides a more connected cabin experience compared to base models while maintaining the legendary reliability Mitsubishi is known for in the region.

This Car vs Other 2023 Attrages

With approximately 59,000 km, this unit sits comfortably within the average usage range for a 2023 model in the UAE, where annual distances often reach 25,000–30,000 km. The silver paint is arguably the most practical choice for the Gulf, offering better sun protection than darker shades and holding its value better than niche colors. Choosing a Highline spec from this year ensures you get the updated 7-inch infotainment system, making it more daily-driver friendly than older or more basic iterations.

GLX HIGHLINE vs Lower Trims

The Highline trim significantly upgrades the ownership experience by adding a 7-inch touchscreen featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which is essential for navigating GCC highways. It also steps up from the base model with premium features like cruise control for long desert drives and 15-inch alloy wheels that improve its road presence. Inside, the Highline introduces a more refined cabin with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and higher-quality seat fabrics.

Attrage vs Segment Rivals

Compared to rivals like the Suzuki Dzire or Kia Pegas, the Attrage leads with a highly efficient 1.2L MIVEC engine and superior aerodynamics (0.29 Cd), resulting in one of the lowest fuel consumption rates in the sub-compact segment. Its 450-litre boot space is particularly generous for a vehicle of this footprint, easily accommodating strollers or large grocery hauls. Furthermore, Mitsubishi’s widespread presence in the GCC ensures better parts availability and lower repair costs than many Chinese-branded competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The Attrage is a benchmark for low running costs in the UAE, achieving a manufacturer-official 20.8 km/L (approx. 4.8 L/100km) that eases the impact of frequent city-to-city commutes. It uses standard 91-octane fuel and follows steady 10,000 km service intervals, with authorized centers available in every major city across the GCC. Historically, this model experiences some of the lowest depreciation rates in its class, retaining a high percentage of its value after three years due to its popularity in the secondary market.

Performance & Capability

Efficiency is the headline here, with the 1.2L 3-cylinder engine optimized for smooth city driving and steady highway cruising. It achieves a top speed of approximately 170 km/h and features a tight 4.8-meter turning radius, making it one of the easiest cars to maneuver through crowded Al Barsha or Riyadh parking lots. The INVECS-III CVT transmission is tuned to maintain the engine's power band efficiently, ensuring capable performance for daily urban duties.

Comfort & Cabin

The 5-seat cabin is designed with the 'People First' philosophy, offering surprising legroom for a sub-compact sedan. It features a robust air conditioning system specifically tuned for GCC heat, ensuring the cabin reaches comfortable temperatures rapidly even in mid-summer. The Highline’s infotainment system provides seamless smartphone integration, while the 450-litre trunk offers a low loading lip for practical daily utility.

Safety

Standard safety for this GCC-spec Highline includes dual front SRS airbags and an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), which is critical for maintaining control on sandy or rain-slicked road surfaces. It also features a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and Active Stability Control (ASC) to help drivers navigate fast-moving highway traffic safely. The body utilizes Mitsubishi’s RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) construction to effectively absorb energy in the event of an impact.

The bottom line

For the no-nonsense GCC buyer, this Attrage Highline is the ultimate value workhorse that doesn't feel basic, thanks to its modern smartphone connectivity and excellent fuel efficiency. It is the perfect entry-level sedan for those prioritizing low monthly overheads and Japanese reliability in a nearly-new package.
