Summary

This 2023 Nissan Patrol SE Platinum City is the definitive GCC family flagship, offering the perfect balance between the refined 4.0L V6 efficiency and the high-luxury features typically reserved for the V8 models. As the top-tier trim for the V6 engine, it features the prestigious 'City' bumper design and swanky 20-inch alloy wheels that command presence on Dubai and Riyadh streets. The Beige exterior is a highly strategic choice for the region, reflecting heat effectively and maintaining strong resale demand in the local market. With 93,417 km, this vehicle has been utilized for the long-distance highway cruising it was engineered for, ensuring the mechanical components are well-settled for a second life. For the buyer who wants the full 'Platinum' luxury experience without the V8 fuel overhead, this is the most logical choice in the current market.

This Car vs Other 2023 Nissan Patrols

With 93,417 km, this Patrol has seen above-average use compared to the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual GCC benchmark, likely serving as a reliable long-distance commuter between emirates. This mileage is reflected in a more accessible entry price for a high-spec Platinum City trim, which usually commands a significant premium. The Beige paint is a top-tier choice for UAE and Saudi climates, offering better thermal management and higher desirability at trade-in than darker shades.

SE PLATINUM CITY vs Lower Trims

The Platinum City is a significant leap over the SE Titanium, adding the signature sculpted 'City' front bumper and 20-inch machine-cut alloy wheels. Inside, it upgrades to quilted genuine leather upholstery with integrated heating and ventilation for the front seats—a vital feature for the intense GCC summer. It also introduces the Intelligent Around View Monitor with moving object detection, providing a full 360-degree bird's-eye view that makes parking this large SUV effortless.

Nissan Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Patrol leads the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 and Ford Expedition in total fuel capacity with its massive 140-litre tank, providing superior range for crossing long desert stretches like the Empty Quarter. Its independent rear suspension offers a more composed and comfortable ride on paved highways than older body-on-frame competitors. The V6 configuration is specifically favored by urban GCC buyers who prioritize lower daily running costs while retaining the full-size presence of a legendary 4x4.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.0L V6 delivers a combined fuel consumption of approximately 11.8L/100km, though real-world GCC city traffic will see figures closer to 15-16L/100km. Nissan's service network is among the most robust in the region, with authorized centers easily accessible from Kuwait City to Muscat. The Patrol remains a 'gold standard' for value retention in the GCC, typically depreciating only 10-15% annually after the first year, making it one of the safest automotive investments in the Middle East.

Performance & Capability

The 275 hp V6 engine is paired with a smooth 7-speed automatic transmission, providing reliable power for highway overtaking and light-to-moderate dune bashing. It features a sophisticated selectable terrain system with dedicated modes for Sand, Rock, and Snow, ensuring capability during weekend desert excursions. With a 273mm ground clearance and a factory-fitted rear differential lock, it possesses genuine off-road hardware that most luxury crossovers cannot match.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of wood-grain inlays and soft-touch leather, designed to seat seven adults across three rows with dedicated climate control vents for every passenger. The 13-speaker Bose audio system provides a studio-quality experience, while the large 12.3-inch infotainment screen supports modern smartphone integration. Cabin insulation is specifically tuned to keep the interior quiet and cool, even when exterior temperatures exceed 45°C.

Safety

This trim comes standard with Nissan’s full Intelligent Mobility suite, including Adaptive Cruise Control for effortless drives on the E11 and E311 highways. Safety is bolstered by Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Intelligent Forward Collision Warning with Emergency Braking. The 360-degree camera system is particularly valuable in tight urban parking scenarios, ensuring this large SUV is as safe in the city as it is capable in the desert.

The bottom line

This is the ideal opportunity for a family driver who demands the absolute highest luxury specification and iconic Patrol styling with the more sensible running costs of the V6 powertrain.
