Nissan Patrol LE PLATINUM

Highlights

• 400 hp from a 5.6-litre V8 engine
• 140-litre fuel tank standard
• Low-range transfer case with locking differentials

Summary

This Nissan Patrol LE Platinum offers an exceptional opportunity for GCC buyers, combining the prestige of the top-tier Platinum trim with notably low mileage for its three-year age. The black exterior is a premier resale choice in the UAE market, ensuring strong long-term value retention and a commanding road presence. As the range-topping V8 model, it provides the full suite of luxury features and off-road hardware that has made the Y62 generation a local icon. With fewer than 19,000 km, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen in the Emirates. For those seeking the ultimate blend of executive refinement and desert-ready capability, this specific listing stands out as a high-integrity, low-use example.

This Car vs Other 2023 Patrols

With just 18,567 km on the odometer, this Patrol has covered less than one-third of the mileage expected for a three-year-old vehicle in the GCC, where long-distance highway commutes are the norm. The black exterior remains one of the most sought-after colors in the secondary market, providing a distinct advantage in future resale value. This combination of low usage and high-demand color makes it a rare find compared to the higher-mileage daily drivers typically available.

LE PLATINUM vs Lower Trims

The LE Platinum is the definitive luxury grade, adding significant equipment over the LE Titanium, including genuine quilted leather upholstery and a premium 13-speaker Bose audio system. It features specialized technological upgrades like a 360-degree Around View Monitor and dual rear entertainment screens, which are essential for long family road trips across the Emirates. Furthermore, the Platinum trim provides enhanced cabin comfort with both heated and ventilated front seats, a critical feature for the intense GCC summer heat.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series and GMC Yukon offer modern platforms, the Patrol leads with its massive 140-litre fuel tank, providing superior range for cross-border journeys or extended desert stays. Its Hydraulic Body Motion Control system provides a unique advantage in on-road stability and cornering flatly compared to more traditional suspension setups in the segment. The Patrol also retains a dedicated fan base in the GCC for its superior air conditioning performance and mechanical durability in extreme temperatures.

Running Costs & Resale

The 5.6L V8 is a robust powertrain designed for longevity, though it is notably thirsty, typically averaging between 16–18 L/100km in mixed UAE driving conditions. In heavy stop-start Dubai traffic or during the peak of summer, consumption can rise toward 22 L/100km. Nissan boasts one of the most extensive authorized service networks in the GCC, with parts readily available from Abu Dhabi to Muscat. The Patrol holds its value exceptionally well, with a three-year depreciation rate typically ranging between 25-30%, significantly lower than its European luxury SUV competitors.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this Patrol is the 400 hp V8 engine, producing a massive 560 Nm of torque, which allows for effortless overtaking on the E11 and reliable power when climbing high dunes. It is equipped with a professional-grade 4WD system featuring a low-range transfer case and a rear differential lock, making it a true dual-purpose vehicle. The Hydraulic Body Motion Control (HBMC) system acts as both a comfort and performance feature, reducing body roll on tarmac while allowing for maximum wheel travel when off-road.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat interior is configured for maximum utility and luxury, featuring a 3-zone climate control system with powerful vents reaching all the way to the third row. The cabin is centered around a dual-screen infotainment system and a factory-fitted refrigerator in the center console to keep drinks cold during desert excursions. High-quality quilted leather and wood-grain accents create a refined executive environment that remains quiet even at highway speeds thanks to extensive acoustic insulation.

Safety

This trim is equipped with Nissan’s full Intelligent Mobility suite, including Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward Collision Warning, which are invaluable for maintaining safety on long desert highways. It features Lane Departure Prevention and Blind Spot Intervention to assist in fast-moving multi-lane traffic. A 360-degree camera system with moving object detection makes parking this full-size SUV effortless, while six standard airbags provide comprehensive protection for all seven passengers.

The bottom line

Perfect for the GCC family or executive who demands the prestige of a V8 icon with the security of exceptionally low mileage. This is a top-spec, low-wear example that represents one of the strongest value-retention opportunities currently available in the UAE.
