Summary

This 2021 Nissan Patrol SE Platinum City represents a highly desirable opportunity in the GCC market, combining legendary reliability with the most premium features available for the V6 powertrain. With 75,629 km on the clock, it has been driven significantly less than the typical 100,000–125,000 km expected for a five-year-old SUV in this region. The white exterior is the gold standard for resale in the Middle East, offering the best heat reflection and the strongest value retention at trade-in. As the top-of-the-line SE trim, it bridges the gap between rugged utility and executive luxury, making it perfect for families who prioritize cabin tech and comfort. For a GCC buyer, the peace of mind provided by Nissan's massive local service network is the single most important factor for long-term ownership.

This Car vs Other 2021 Patrols

While many five-year-old Patrols in the UAE have surpassed the 120,000 km mark due to frequent inter-emirate commuting, this example sits at a conservative 75,629 km. This lower-than-average mileage suggests better mechanical health for the suspension and cooling systems, which are critical in the GCC climate. Furthermore, the White exterior is the most sought-after color in the local market, ensuring it will sell faster and for a higher premium than darker-colored alternatives.

SE PLATINUM CITY vs Lower Trims

The SE Platinum City is a significant step up from the Titanium and XE trims, focusing heavily on cabin refinement and safety. It introduces a 13-speaker Bose premium sound system, quilted leather upholstery, and a rear-seat entertainment system that is essential for long family road trips across the GCC. Additionally, it features ventilated front seats and a 360-degree camera system, both of which are high-priority requirements for local buyers.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Toyota Land Cruiser 4.0L, the Patrol SE Platinum City often leads in interior technology and seat comfort, featuring 'zero-gravity' inspired cushions that reduce fatigue on long desert highways. It also competes with the Chevrolet Tahoe, where the Patrol's established reputation for extreme heat tolerance and higher resale value in the GCC gives it a distinct edge. The 97-litre fuel tank provides the necessary range for cross-border travel between the UAE and neighboring countries.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.0L V6 engine is engineered for longevity and is compatible with Special 95 petrol, which is widely available across all GCC stations. Real-world fuel consumption typically averages around 11.8 L/100km on highways, though stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh may see this rise. Nissan's authorized service network is among the densest in the region, ensuring low parts costs and high availability. Historically, the Patrol is a class leader in value retention, typically depreciating only 8-10% annually in the UAE market.

Performance & Capability

The 275 hp V6 engine provides a refined power delivery suitable for both daily city commutes and highway overtaking. While this trim focuses on urban luxury with its 'City' bumper design, it retains the fundamental durability of a body-on-frame SUV. Selectable drive modes allow for confident handling on sand and gravel surfaces during weekend escapes. The 7-speed automatic transmission is tuned for smooth shifts, maintaining cabin serenity even at high highway speeds.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the intense Middle Eastern summer, equipped with a powerful multi-zone climate control system and dedicated cooling vents for all passengers. Ventilated seats are standard on this trim, providing immediate relief during peak heat months. The interior features premium materials and acoustic glass to minimize road noise. With its spacious layout, the Patrol remains the benchmark for family comfort during long-distance GCC road trips.

Safety

This trim is equipped with Nissan’s full suite of Intelligent Mobility features, including Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which are invaluable on fast-moving, multi-lane UAE highways. The 360-degree camera system makes navigating tight parking spots in urban centers effortless. Standard safety includes multiple airbags and advanced traction control systems specifically calibrated for the varied road surfaces found across the Gulf region.

The bottom line

For the buyer seeking a prestige SUV with the region's best resale profile and a feature list that rivals luxury sedans, this low-mileage Patrol SE Platinum City is the ideal choice.
