Summary

This GCC-spec crossover represents a modern, tech-forward alternative to established rivals, offering a cabin that punches well above its class for sheer space. The white exterior is a strategic choice for the region, providing the best heat reflection during summer months and ensuring strong resale liquidity. With its 1.8L EcoBoost engine, it delivers 190 hp—a significant performance advantage for highway overtaking compared to naturally aspirated competitors. The mileage reflects consistent use typical of an active commuter, yet the vehicle remains within its early lifecycle benefits. For a GCC buyer, the combination of Ford's extensive service network and the Trend trim's upgraded digital features makes this a highly practical and desirable daily driver.

This Car vs Other 2024 Ford Territorys

While many crossovers in this year range show lower mileage, this vehicle's figures are consistent with the high-mileage highway driving common for inter-emirate commutes in the GCC. The white paint is the most sought-after color in the local market, ensuring it retains value better than darker shades that absorb desert heat. It remains a mechanically fresh choice for buyers looking to step into the latest generation of Ford's design language without the new-car premium.

TREND vs Lower Trims

The Trend trim adds significant value over the entry-level Ambiente, most notably with the inclusion of dual-zone automatic climate control and premium vinyl seating which is far more durable for family use. It also upgrades the exterior with aluminum roof rails and front fog lamps, providing a more executive aesthetic. Inside, you benefit from additional USB ports and a more refined cabin finish that elevates the daily driving experience.

Ford Territory vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Toyota Corolla Cross or Nissan Kicks, the Territory leads with a much longer wheelbase, resulting in genuine adult-friendly rear legroom and a larger 60-litre fuel tank for fewer stops on long desert hauls. Its 1.8L turbocharged engine offers 320 Nm of torque, comfortably out-muscling the naturally aspirated engines found in most competitors. The 12-inch standard touchscreen is also significantly larger and more responsive than what is typically offered at this price point.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel economy is rated at approximately 15.6 km/L, providing an excellent balance between turbocharged power and running costs for city and highway cycles. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from Ford's massive authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring parts are always accessible and affordable. The Territory has shown strong early value retention, typically depreciating at roughly 12-15% annually, which is competitive for the American-branded crossover segment.

Performance & Capability

The 1.8L EcoBoost engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission delivers a smooth and punchy drive, reaching 100 km/h in a respectable 8.5 seconds. While built for urban and highway comfort, the 190 mm ground clearance and specialized 'Mountain' drive mode allow for confident handling on gravel tracks or weekend beach access. Its front-wheel-drive setup is optimized for fuel efficiency, making it an ideal companion for the long, straight highways connecting major GCC cities.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed specifically with the hot GCC climate in mind, featuring a high-output air conditioning system and rear cooling vents to keep all five passengers comfortable in peak summer. The interior is remarkably quiet at highway speeds thanks to improved sound insulation, while the flat-folding 60/40 rear seats expand the cargo area to 1,422 litres for heavy shopping trips. The 7-inch digital gauge cluster provides clear, high-contrast information even under the bright midday sun.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on the Trend trim includes Blind Spot Monitoring (BLIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert, which is essential for the fast-paced multi-lane traffic found in Dubai and Riyadh. It also features six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, and Hill Launch Assist as standard. The inclusion of a high-resolution rear-view camera and parking sensors ensures effortless maneuvering in tight urban parking structures.

The bottom line

Perfect for the tech-savvy family or professional needing a spacious and reliable SUV that handles the GCC's demanding climate and long distances with ease.
