Summary

This 2024 Jetour T2 LUX offers a compelling alternative to established off-roaders, blending a rugged, boxy aesthetic with modern monocoque refinement. As a GCC-spec model, it is perfectly suited for regional climate demands and benefits from the manufacturer’s robust local parts network. The LUX trim adds high-demand features like ventilated seating and a premium Sony audio system, making it a standout choice for those who value cabin tech alongside adventure styling. With 254 horsepower and a versatile 4WD system, it provides the ideal balance for daily city commuting in Dubai and weekend escapes to the northern emirates.

This Car vs Other 2024 Jetour T2s

With approximately 94,490 km on the odometer, this T2 has seen more use than the average 2024 model in the UAE market, which typically covers 20,000 to 25,000 km annually. However, for a vehicle built to handle long-distance highway travel between GCC cities, this represents a mechanically proven example of Jetour's modern reliability. The black exterior remains one of the most resilient colors for resale value across the region.

LUX vs Lower Trims

The LUX trim significantly upgrades the ownership experience over the Comfort base model, most notably adding ventilated front seats which are essential for GCC summers. It further distinguishes itself with a premium 12-speaker Sony audio system, a 360-degree surround-view camera for easier parking, and an expanded suite of ADAS safety features including blind-spot monitoring and lane-keep assist.

T2 vs Segment Rivals

The Jetour T2 leads many rivals like the GWM Tank 300 in terms of interior tech, featuring a massive 15.6-inch touchscreen powered by the Snapdragon 8155 chip. While it is more road-biased than a body-on-frame Ford Bronco, its 70-litre fuel tank and unibody refinement make it a superior choice for the long, high-speed highway stretches common in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.0T engine averages around 9.5L/100km in mixed GCC driving, providing a range of nearly 700 km on a full tank. Service intervals are recommended every 10,000 km or 6 months, with a growing network of authorized centers like Elite Motors in the UAE ensuring easy parts availability. While Chinese brands face steeper initial depreciation than Japanese rivals, the T2’s unique styling and high feature density help it maintain a strong following in the used market.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0-litre turbocharged engine delivers a punchy 254 hp and 390 Nm of torque, allowing for confident highway overtaking and an 8.7-second 0-100 km/h sprint. Its BorgWarner 6th-gen 4WD system includes selectable modes for sand, mud, and rock, paired with an impressive 220 mm ground clearance for light desert venturing. The 700 mm wading depth provides extra peace of mind during the region's occasional heavy seasonal rains.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a tech-focused sanctuary featuring a 64-inch panoramic sunroof that opens up the interior without compromising heat insulation. Five passengers enjoy PVC leather seating, with rear air vents and multi-zone climate control ensuring everyone stays cool in 45°C+ temperatures. Acoustic glass helps keep the cabin quiet during high-speed cruising across the desert highways.

Safety

This T2 LUX comes standard with 8 airbags and a comprehensive safety suite tailored for fast-moving GCC traffic. Key features include Adaptive Cruise Control for long drives, Forward Collision Warning, and a 360-degree camera system that eliminates blind spots. The high-strength steel unibody construction provides a solid safety foundation for both urban and off-road environments.

The bottom line

For the buyer who wants the rugged look of a premium off-roader without the high running costs, this GCC-spec T2 LUX is a high-tech, comfortable opportunity ready for immediate use.
