Summary

This 2024 model represents a strong opportunity to own the final iteration of a regional legend with a white exterior that ensures maximum resale liquidity in the GCC market. While the V8 often grabs headlines, this V6 SE Platinum City is the pragmatic choice for those who value cabin luxury and lower running costs without sacrificing the iconic road presence. With mileage that is considered average for a high-use GCC highway vehicle, it offers a nearly new driving experience at a significant pre-owned discount. The Patrol remains the definitive choice for families who need genuine seven-seat capacity and cross-border touring capability. Owning a Patrol in this region means total peace of mind thanks to a service network that spans from the UAE to the furthest reaches of Saudi Arabia.

This Car vs Other 2024 Patrols

With approximately 99,000 km, this vehicle reflects typical annual usage for a GCC-based SUV often used for inter-emirate commuting and long-distance travel. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the regional used market, providing a clear advantage for future resale value. It sits as a modern, high-spec alternative to older V8 models that often carry much higher mechanical wear for the same price point.

SE PLATINUM CITY vs Lower Trims

The Platinum City trim elevates the SE range significantly by adding 20-inch machine-cut alloy wheels and a 360-degree Intelligent Around View Monitor that is essential for parking a vehicle of this size. Inside, it swaps standard materials for premium quilted leather and adds the vital ventilated front seats that are a necessity for the GCC summer. It also features a factory-fitted refrigerator in the center console and a premium Bose sound system not found on the base XE or SE Titanium trims.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Patrol leads the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 in terms of sheer cabin volume and second-row legroom, making it the preferred choice for large families. Its 140-liter dual fuel tank system provides a massive advantage over the Chevrolet Tahoe for long desert highway stretches between major GCC cities. While rivals have moved toward smaller turbocharged engines, the Patrol's naturally aspirated 4.0L V6 is celebrated for its mechanical simplicity and long-term durability in extreme heat.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the V6 averages around 15.0L/100km, offering a measurable efficiency gain over the 5.6L V8 in stop-start city traffic. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from a heavy-duty cooling system and is supported by a massive network of authorized service centers across the UAE, KSA, and Oman. The Patrol historically retains approximately 60-70% of its value after three years, making it one of the safest automotive investments in the region.

Performance & Capability

The 275 hp V6 engine provides a balanced power delivery suited for highway cruising and light desert excursions. Unlike many modern crossovers, it retains a true body-on-frame construction and a selectable 4WD system with a rear differential lock for genuine off-road capability. With a verified 3,500 kg braked towing capacity, it is fully equipped for hauling boats or trailers across the Emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary designed for the Gulf climate, featuring a high-output tri-zone climate control system with dedicated ceiling vents for the second and third rows. The Platinum City grade offers a refined atmosphere with quilted leather upholstery and acoustic glass that significantly reduces wind noise during high-speed highway travel. The seven-seat layout is genuinely adult-usable, ensuring comfort even on the longest road trips to Salalah or Riyadh.

Safety

This trim is equipped with the full Nissan Intelligent Mobility suite, including Intelligent Forward Collision Warning and Emergency Braking which are vital for fast-moving highway traffic. It also features Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert to manage its large footprint safely. Six airbags and a reinforced high-strength steel frame provide a robust safety cell for all seven occupants, a fact reflected in its consistent popularity as a primary family vehicle.

The bottom line

For the UAE buyer who wants the prestige and space of a flagship SUV with the reliability of a V6, this high-trim 2024 Patrol is the most sensible way to secure a near-new icon with maximum resale potential.
