Summary

This 2024 Nissan Patrol Super Safari represents the final evolution of a legendary 4x4 dynasty that remains a cult icon across the GCC. With its powerful 4.8L engine and iconic Grey finish—a top-tier choice for resale—this specific listing offers the rare chance to own a modern-year Y61 with relatively low mileage for its class. The Super Safari trim is the highest available, blending rugged body-on-frame durability with essential comforts like premium leather and a cooler box. For the GCC buyer, no other vehicle offers this exact mix of mechanical simplicity and desert-dominating performance. It is the ultimate choice for those who value heritage and off-road capability over complex modern electronics.

This Car vs Other 2024 Patrols

With just 36,156 km, this Patrol has covered significantly less ground than the typical 25,000 km annual average seen in the GCC market. Its Grey exterior is one of the most sought-after colors in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring it holds its value better than more unconventional shades. Owning a 2024 model year means you benefit from the very last production refinements of a chassis built for extreme heat and sand.

SUPER SAFARI vs Lower Trims

The Super Safari trim is a significant leap over the standard Safari and GL trims, adding the iconic two-tone exterior styling and a much more refined cabin. Key upgrades include premium leather upholstery, an electric sunroof, a factory-integrated cooler box, and a rear-view camera. It also features the critical rear differential lock as standard, providing the mechanical edge required for serious desert exploration that base trims often lack.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Super Safari stands in a class of its own against modern crossovers, with its only true rival being the Toyota Land Cruiser 70-series. While the Toyota offers utility, the Patrol leads with a more comfortable 7-seat cabin and a smoother 5-speed automatic transmission. Its 4.8L inline-six is widely regarded as one of the most reliable engines ever deployed in the Middle East, offering easier maintenance than complex European turbo engines.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption reflects its heavy-duty nature, averaging around 16.7 L/100km in mixed GCC conditions. Nissan’s authorized service network is one of the most extensive in the region, with centers readily available from Dubai to Riyadh, ensuring parts are affordable and always in stock. Historically, the Super Safari retains roughly 85-88% of its value after the first year, making it one of the safest automotive investments in the local used market.

Performance & Capability

The 4.8-litre VTC engine produces 280 hp and 451 Nm of torque, specifically tuned for low-end grunt on soft sand dunes. Its heavy-duty body-on-frame construction and 210 mm of ground clearance allow it to traverse terrain that would stop most modern SUVs. A dedicated low-range transfer case and manual-override automatic transmission provide the driver with absolute control during steep ascents or heavy-duty towing tasks up to 2,500 kg.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the Super Safari balances its rugged exterior with a spacious 7-seat layout featuring tan leather and wood-grain accents. The air conditioning system is legendary in the GCC for its ability to reach freezing temperatures even in 50°C summer heat, supported by dedicated rear vents. A modern 8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto ensures you stay connected during long cross-border drives between emirates.

Safety

Standard safety features on this trim include dual front airbags, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) to maintain stability on shifting surfaces. It also features a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and front and rear parking sensors to aid in navigating tight city spaces. The inclusion of Cruise Control makes long-distance highway stretches across the desert significantly more manageable and safe.

The bottom line

This is a prime opportunity for an enthusiast or desert adventurer to secure a near-new example of the GCC's most respected off-road icon. It combines the legendary reliability of the Y61 platform with the modern conveniences of the final 2024 production run.
