Summary

This 2024 Nissan Patrol NISMO represents the high-performance pinnacle of the Y62 generation, featuring a hand-tuned engine that delivers a notable power increase over standard V8 trims. Finished in Black, a top-tier color for GCC resale value, it combines a track-inspired aesthetic with the legendary reliability and cooling efficiency required for local summers. As a 2-year-old vehicle, it offers a modern tech suite while bypassing the steepest initial depreciation curve common in the luxury segment. The Japanese regional spec is a respected indicator of build quality among regional buyers, ensuring this flagship SUV remains a prestigious and capable daily driver. For the GCC owner, the balance of NISMO performance tuning and Nissan’s extensive regional service network makes it a uniquely practical performance choice.

This Car vs Other 2024 Patrols

With 66,492 km, this vehicle’s mileage sits within the expected range for a 2-year-old car in the GCC, where highway-intensive driving often pushes annual averages to 30,000 km. The Black exterior is a high-demand choice in the local market, ensuring stronger liquidity and resale appeal compared to niche colors. Choosing this model year allows you to own the final iteration of the V8-powered NISMO, a significant factor for enthusiasts who value the traditional eight-cylinder powertrain.

NISMO vs Lower Trims

The NISMO trim is a significant mechanical step up from the Platinum City V8, adding a Takumi-tuned engine and a race-derived aerodynamic body kit that reduces lift. Inside, it replaces standard leather with a unique red-accented Alcantara and leather interior and adds a NISMO-specific steering wheel with a red center stripe. The suspension is completely overhauled with yellow Bilstein shock absorbers, providing much flatter cornering and better highway stability than the standard HBMC system.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Patrol NISMO leads rivals like the Toyota Land Cruiser GR Sport in terms of on-road handling and high-speed composure thanks to its specialized Bilstein tuning. Its 140-liter fuel capacity remains one of the largest in its class, providing superior range for long-distance travel between GCC cities compared to the Ford Expedition. The cabin is specifically engineered for high-ambient temperatures, with one of the most powerful air conditioning systems in the SUV segment.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the NISMO-tuned 5.6L V8 typically averages between 16–18 L/100 km in mixed GCC driving conditions, depending on heavy air conditioning use. While maintenance costs are slightly higher than standard trims due to specialized suspension components, Nissan’s massive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait ensures parts are always available. The Patrol NISMO historically holds its value exceptionally well, typically retaining 65–70% of its value after three years in the GCC market.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a hand-tuned 5.6L V8 producing 428 hp and 560 Nm of torque, the NISMO accelerates from 0–100 km/h in approximately 6.5 seconds. The performance-tuned chassis and forged 22-inch wheels provide exceptional highway manners, while the four-wheel-drive system and locking rear differential ensure it remains a capable desert companion for weekend adventures. Selectable drive modes allow the driver to sharpen throttle response, taking full advantage of the NISMO-specific engine mapping.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat layout is optimized for family logistics, featuring a climate-controlled front row and dedicated rear cooling vents that are essential for the GCC summer. The NISMO cabin stands out with race-inspired Alcantara inserts that stay cooler to the touch than standard leather, paired with a 13-speaker Bose premium audio system. A built-in cooler box in the center console provides factory refrigeration, a highly valued feature for long highway drives across the region.

Safety

This trim is equipped with a full ADAS suite, including Intelligent Cruise Control and Lane Departure Intervention, which are indispensable for long desert highway stretches. The 360° Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection helps navigate this large SUV in tight urban parking, while Blind Spot Intervention provides vital protection on fast-moving multi-lane roads. Additional safety includes front, side, and curtain airbags, along with specialized stability control systems calibrated for both sand and tarmac.

The bottom line

This 2024 Nissan Patrol NISMO is the ideal choice for a buyer who wants the ultimate V8 performance flagship with the peace of mind offered by a nearly new vehicle. It represents a strategic opportunity to secure the final iteration of the V8 NISMO in a high-resale color and excellent mechanical standing.
