Summary

This Performance trim stands out in the GCC market as the ultimate expression of the 2024 Highland update, offering supercar-level acceleration in a practical sedan body. With 65,000 km on the odometer, this car has been driven consistently over its two years, making it a well-tested example of Tesla's refined dual-motor system. The black exterior remains the gold standard for resale value in the UAE, providing a sleek, executive look that never goes out of style. For the performance-minded buyer, this model offers the perfect balance of daily usability and track-ready dynamics that few rivals can match. Owning a Tesla in the region ensures you have access to the most reliable and integrated charging infrastructure available today.

This Car vs Other 2024 Model 3s

With 65,000 km recorded in two years, this vehicle reflects the typical high-utilization lifestyle of GCC commuters, where long-distance highway driving is the norm. While the mileage is slightly above the global average, it is standard for a daily-driven EV in the UAE and signifies a battery that is regularly cycled and maintained. The black exterior is a high-demand choice in the local used market, ensuring faster turnover and stronger price protection than niche colors.

PERFORMANCE vs Lower Trims

The Performance trim is a significant step up from the Long Range and RWD models, adding hardware that GCC enthusiasts prioritize, such as lowered adaptive sport suspension and larger performance brakes. Inside, you receive exclusive sport-bolstered seats and carbon fiber trim, alongside a dedicated Track Mode that allows for custom power distribution. It also features the 17-speaker premium audio system and the 8-inch rear passenger screen, which are often absent or optional on base models.

Model 3 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the BMW i4 M50 and the BYD Seal Performance, this car leads with its superior software integration and the proprietary Supercharger network, which remains the most seamless charging experience in the UAE. Its minimalist cabin offers more storage flexibility and a larger digital workspace than the BMW, while its long-term software support and OTA updates provide a more mature ownership experience than the newer BYD. The all-wheel-drive system is specifically tuned to provide instant traction on the fast-moving, multi-lane highways common in Riyadh and Dubai.

Running Costs & Resale

Operating costs are exceptionally low compared to petrol-powered luxury sedans, with no traditional engine oil changes or spark plug replacements required. Service intervals are flexible, focusing primarily on cabin air filters and tire rotations, with extensive authorized support available through Tesla's service centers in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The Performance trim holds its value well in the GCC due to its flagship status, typically seeing a depreciation rate of 12-15% annually, which is competitive for the premium EV segment.

Performance & Capability

The 513 hp output delivers a staggering 0-100 km/h time of just 3.1 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on the E11 highway. The dual-motor All-Wheel Drive system ensures maximum grip during the occasional desert rain or on sand-dusted road surfaces. With a top speed of 261 km/h, it maintains absolute composure at high cruising speeds, while the 250 kW DC charging capability means you can add hundreds of kilometers of range in roughly 15-20 minutes.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the extreme GCC heat, featuring a powerful dual-zone climate control system and factory-standard ventilated front seats that are essential during summer months. The panoramic glass roof is heavily tinted to block UV rays, while the acoustic glass keeps the interior quiet and insulated from road noise. The rear-seat 8-inch display allows passengers to control their own climate zones and entertainment, making long trips between emirates comfortable for the whole family.

Safety

This vehicle features Tesla's full ADAS suite, providing active collision avoidance and emergency braking which are vital in fast-moving regional traffic. Standard safety tech includes blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, and a 360-degree camera system that makes parking in tight urban spaces simple. The rigid body structure and multiple airbags helped the 2024 model earn top safety marks, ensuring peace of mind for both daily commutes and family travel.

The bottom line

For the buyer who wants the fastest, most technologically advanced sedan in the UAE, this Highland-era Performance model is the definitive choice. Its strong resale color and flagship trim status make it a smart, high-performance investment in the region's rapidly growing EV market.
