Summary

This 1-year-old Range Rover HSE P400 represents a strategic acquisition in the GCC market, offering the prestige of the latest L460 generation with the benefit of the initial depreciation already realized. The P400 mild-hybrid powertrain is particularly well-suited for the region, providing smooth inline-six power for highway cruising and improved efficiency during heavy city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Finished in a sophisticated Green that maintains high demand among enthusiasts, this GCC-spec example has covered a moderate 21,000 km, placing it well within the expected usage for a premium SUV in this territory. The HSE trim is often considered the sweet spot for owners, balancing executive-level features with a more focused driving feel compared to the softer-sprung flagship trims. For the GCC buyer, the combination of a valid regional warranty and the versatile Terrain Response system makes this a confident choice for both urban luxury and weekend coastal trips.

This Car vs Other 2025 Range Rovers

With 21,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits comfortably at the average annual mileage mark for the GCC, where long-distance commutes are standard. Unlike higher-mileage examples often found in the secondary market, this car maintains the mechanical freshness expected of a 1-year-old flagship. The Green exterior is a distinguished choice that typically commands a faster resale in the local market compared to more common white or silver units.

HSE P400 vs Lower Trims

The HSE trim significantly upgrades the ownership experience over the base SE by including 22-way adjustable heated and ventilated front seats with massage functions, ensuring comfort during peak GCC summer temperatures. It also standardizes the Meridian 3D Surround Sound System and a Head-up Display, features that are highly valued for resale and daily convenience on multi-lane highways. Additionally, the HSE adds Pixel LED headlights with signature DRLs, providing superior visibility and a sharper aesthetic presence.

Range Rover vs Segment Rivals

The Range Rover stands apart from rivals like the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS through its superior 900mm wading depth and legitimate off-road hardware. While its German competitors focus almost entirely on road manners, the Range Rover offers a 90-litre fuel tank that provides greater range for cross-border desert drives. Its unique split tailgate also provides a functional advantage for outdoor activities that typical luxury SUVs lack.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the P400 hybrid powertrain typically averages between 9.5 and 11.5 L/100km depending on the balance of city idling and highway cruising. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from a comprehensive authorized service network across all major cities in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, which is a critical factor in maintaining its value. In the local market, Range Rovers typically see an annual depreciation of 12-15%, though the HSE trim remains one of the most liquid configurations at the three-year mark.

Performance & Capability

The 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six produces a robust 400 hp and 550 Nm of torque, enabling effortless overtaking on fast-moving UAE highways. The standard all-wheel steering reduces the turning circle significantly, making this large SUV surprisingly maneuverable in tight urban parking scenarios. For weekend adventures, the Terrain Response 2 system automatically adjusts the air suspension and drivetrain settings to handle varied surfaces from sand to gravel with minimal driver input.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the GCC heat, featuring a high-performance three-zone climate control system and Semi-Aniline leather that remains cooler than standard hides. Acoustic laminated glass and active noise cancellation technology ensure the interior remains exceptionally quiet, even at highway speeds. The 13.1-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen provides seamless wireless connectivity, while the rear seats offer power recline and dedicated cooling vents for passenger comfort during long road trips.

Safety

This Range Rover comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including a 360-degree 3D Surround Camera that is essential for navigating narrow city streets. Standard ADAS features like Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist and Blind Spot Assist provide a significant safety margin during long desert highway drives. The system also includes Occupant Protection Assist, which proactively prepares the cabin if a collision is detected, alongside a full array of airbags for all passengers.

The bottom line

For the executive buyer seeking the current generation's design and technology without the new-car premium, this GCC-spec HSE P400 is an ideally balanced opportunity.
