Summary

This 2026 ROX 01 VIP offers a compelling alternative to traditional luxury SUVs, combining rugged design with a high-efficiency range-extended electric powertrain. As a brand-new vehicle with 0 km, it bypasses the typical depreciation curve of used imports while providing the silent, immediate torque of an EV without any range anxiety. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the GCC, ensuring maximum heat reflection during summer and holding the strongest resale value in the local market. For the UAE buyer, the VIP trim's six-seat configuration with second-row captain's chairs provides a level of passenger comfort that rivals flagship executive SUVs. The most important consideration for a GCC owner is the innovative REEV setup, which allows for pure electric city commuting and seamless petrol-powered long-distance drives across the Emirates.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

With a Vehicle Age of 0 years and being brand new, this ROX 01 sits at the very beginning of its service life. In the GCC market, where annual mileage often exceeds 20,000 km due to frequent highway travel between cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, starting with zero kilometers is a significant long-term value advantage. The white paintwork is the gold standard for the region, offering superior thermal management in 45-degree heat compared to darker shades.

VIP vs Lower Trims

The VIP trim is the premier choice for the ROX 01, specifically replacing the standard bench with luxury second-row captain's chairs for a 2+2+2 layout. This configuration adds power-adjustable seating with ventilation and massage functions for the middle row, features that are highly prioritized by GCC families and executive transporters. Additionally, the VIP trim often includes the upgraded 21-inch wheels and the full ADAS suite as standard equipment.

01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 competes directly with the Li Auto L8 and AITO M7, leading the segment with a more rugged, Pininfarina-designed exterior that appeals to those who appreciate the 'boxier' aesthetic of traditional 4x4s. Unlike many rivals, it features a generous 70-liter fuel tank, providing over 1,100 km of total range which is ideal for cross-border trips to Oman or Saudi Arabia. Its 56.01 kWh battery is among the largest in its class, offering more usable EV-only range for daily school runs and office commutes.

Running Costs & Resale

The REEV powertrain delivers a combined fuel consumption of approximately 7.95 L/100km, which is exceptional for a large SUV in stop-start traffic in Riyadh or Dubai. Owners can expect significant savings by utilizing home charging for the first 235 km of daily driving. While a newer entrant to the market, the ROX 01 is seeing growing parts support through specialized EV service centers in the UAE. As a Chinese spec model, buyers should note that local software updates and specialized service packages may be required through independent local specialists.

Performance & Capability

Despite its 2.7-ton curb weight, the ROX 01 delivers sports-car-rivaling acceleration, hitting 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds thanks to its 476 hp dual-motor setup. It features a capable intelligent AWD system with dedicated terrain modes including Sand and Wade, supported by a 700 mm wading depth for rainy seasons or light off-road excursions. The 740 Nm of torque provides effortless overtaking power on high-speed motorways even when fully loaded with six passengers.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed as a 'mobile living room,' featuring three-zone climate control with dedicated rear vents essential for the GCC summer. The VIP-exclusive 6-seat layout ensures every passenger has ample personal space, with Nappa leather upholstery and an expansive panoramic sunroof that adds to the airy feel. Tech highlights include a large 15.7-inch central display and a digital rearview mirror that maintains visibility even when the cargo area is packed to its 548-liter capacity.

Safety

The ROX 01 is equipped with a robust safety suite including 10-airbag lumbar and back protection and a high-strength steel chassis. Standard ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring are particularly effective for the fast-paced, multi-lane highway driving common in the UAE. The 360-degree camera system with a transparent chassis view provides essential assistance when navigating tight urban parking or uneven gravel tracks.

The bottom line

For the tech-forward family in the GCC, this brand-new ROX 01 VIP is a high-value opportunity to secure a flagship 6-seater with zero range anxiety and a premium interior at a fraction of the cost of traditional European rivals.
