Summary

This 2026 ROX 01 VIP offers a rare opportunity to own a near-new luxury REEV that solves the range anxiety typically associated with EVs in the GCC. With its Black exterior—a high-demand resale color in the UAE—this 6-seater SUV stands out as a sophisticated choice for executive families. Its unique range-extender system allows for silent electric city commuting while the 1.5L generator ensures you can drive across borders or deep into the desert without searching for a charger. Compared to rivals, the ROX 01 offers significantly more advanced cabin technology and specialized outdoor features like a factory-integrated camping mode. For a GCC buyer, this represents a futuristic driving experience backed by a substantial 1,115 km total range capability.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

As a 2026 model, this vehicle is in its prime, offering the latest refinements in software and battery management. In the GCC market, where annual mileage often exceeds 20,000 km, a car of this age is essentially brand new and represents a high-value entry point. The Black exterior is a perennially strong resale choice in the region, ensuring better value retention compared to niche colors.

VIP vs Lower Trims

The VIP trim is the definitive choice for the GCC, upgrading the cabin with second-row executive captain chairs that feature heating, ventilation, and massage functions—essential for summer comfort. Unlike lower trims, the VIP includes a premium 15-speaker audio system and a dedicated rear entertainment screen. It also features the zero-gravity seat function in the second row, transforming the SUV into a first-class travel experience.

ROX 01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 leads its segment rivals like the Li Auto L8 and Avatr 11 by offering a more rugged, Pininfarina-designed aesthetic paired with a superior 70-liter fuel tank for long-distance cruising. While traditional luxury SUVs like the Lexus RX offer hybrid efficiency, they cannot match the ROX 01's 235 km of pure electric range for daily city driving. Its dual-motor AWD system provides instant torque that outpaces most petrol-only competitors in the same price bracket.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel efficiency is exceptional for a 2.7-ton SUV, as the 1.5L engine operates only at its most efficient RPM to charge the battery. Owners can expect significantly lower running costs in stop-start Dubai or Riyadh traffic by utilizing the pure electric mode for daily commutes. The ROX service network is expanding across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with authorized centers now established in major cities. Early market data suggests a three-year value retention of approximately 75%, making it competitive with other high-tech Chinese luxury entrants.

Performance & Capability

The 476 hp dual-motor powertrain delivers a verified 0–100 km/h time of 5.5 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on high-speed UAE highways. With a maximum ground clearance of 205 mm and a wading depth of 700 mm, it is surprisingly capable for weekend desert excursions or navigating gravel wadis. The intelligent e-AWD system features dedicated ROX modes for Sand, Mud, and Snow, ensuring stability across diverse GCC terrains.

Comfort & Cabin

The 6-seat 2+2+2 layout prioritizes individual space, featuring ventilated seats in both the first and second rows to combat the extreme GCC heat. The triple-zone climate control system includes independent rear vents and a PM2.5 air purifier to maintain a fresh cabin environment during dust storms. Tech highlights include a massive 15.7-inch 3K central display and a drop-down 15.6-inch rear screen, ideal for keeping families entertained on long drives between Emirates.

Safety

The ROX 01 VIP comes standard with a comprehensive ADAS suite, including a 360-degree HD panoramic camera system and a digital rearview mirror for clear visibility even with a full load. Essential safety features for the region include blind-spot monitoring for fast-paced highway traffic and adaptive cruise control for long desert stretches. The vehicle is constructed with over 87% high-strength steel, providing a robust safety cell for all six passengers.

The bottom line

This 2026 ROX 01 VIP is the ideal choice for a tech-forward family in the UAE looking for the luxury of a 6-seater SUV with the efficiency of an electric vehicle and the range of a petrol car.
