Summary

This 2026 ROX 01 VIP represents a unique opportunity to own a near-new, ultra-luxury extended-range SUV with just 200 km on the clock. Finished in timeless black, which traditionally commands high resale value in the GCC, this model stands out with its rugged Pininfarina design and sophisticated hybrid technology that eliminates range anxiety for long desert drives. As a VIP trim, it offers a distinct advantage over standard models with its aviation-style rear seating and premium interior finishes. For buyers in the UAE and beyond, it bridges the gap between pure electric efficiency and the long-distance reliability required for cross-country travel.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

With only 200 km on the odometer, this ROX 01 is effectively in showroom condition, offering a significant mileage advantage over typical year-one use in the GCC which often exceeds 20,000 km. The black exterior is a highly sought-after choice in the local used market, ensuring faster turnover and stronger value retention compared to experimental colors. This specific unit represents the very latest in EREV technology available in the region for the 2026 model year.

VIP vs Lower Trims

The VIP trim is the definitive choice for GCC buyers seeking an executive experience, adding 'zero-gravity' second-row aviation seats with 12-way electric adjustment, heating, ventilation, and an 8-point massage system. Unlike lower trims, the VIP version features the expanded 15.7-inch central display and a dedicated rear entertainment screen that drops from the ceiling, essential for family comfort during high-temperature summer drives. It also includes the premium 14-speaker Arkamys audio system as standard.

01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 leads its segment rivals like the Li Auto L8 and Wey 05 with a superior combined range of 1,115 km (WLTC), making it better suited for non-stop travel between Dubai and Riyadh. Its 700 mm wading depth and dedicated 'Sand Surfing' mode offer genuine off-road utility that many road-biased luxury crossovers lack. Furthermore, its dual-motor AWD system provides 740 Nm of instant torque, outclassing many traditional V8 SUVs in urban overtaking.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption is remarkably low for a vehicle of this size, averaging approximately 7.95L/100km when the battery is discharged, and near-zero in city traffic using the 235 km pure electric range. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, and specialized centers like EVS in the UAE provide dedicated support for the hybrid powertrain. While new to the market, the ROX 01 benefits from a robust 8-year battery warranty, which significantly protects its resale value at the 3-year mark.

Performance & Capability

The ROX 01 delivers a staggering 0-100 km/h sprint in just 5.5 seconds, powered by a 56 kWh CATL battery and two electric motors generating a combined 470 hp. The 1.5L turbo engine acts exclusively as a generator, ensuring the drive remains quiet and smooth even on long highway stretches across the Emirates. With 205 mm of ground clearance and five selectable terrain modes, it is as capable on gravel tracks and dunes as it is refined on the Sheikh Zayed Road.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of camel leather and high-grade steel construction, designed to insulate passengers from the intense GCC heat. The VIP-exclusive air conditioning system features powerful rear cooling vents and independent zones for all passengers, paired with ventilated seats in both the front and second rows. Acoustic glass is standard, significantly reducing wind noise during high-speed highway cruising, while the massive sunroof provides an airy feel without compromising cabin temperature.

Safety

Safety is paramount with a full ADAS suite including Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, and a high-resolution 360-degree camera system for navigating tight urban parking. The vehicle is built with 87% high-grade steel and includes multiple airbags, including side curtain coverage for all rows. Features like blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control are particularly beneficial for the fast-paced multi-lane traffic common in Dubai and Riyadh.

The bottom line

This ROX 01 VIP is the ideal choice for a tech-forward family or executive looking for a flagship SUV that handles the GCC climate and long distances with ease. It offers a unique combination of near-zero mileage, top-tier executive luxury, and the security of a long-range hybrid powertrain.
