Summary

This 2026 ROX 01 Captain ETE is a compelling alternative to traditional luxury SUVs, offering a sophisticated Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) powertrain that eliminates range anxiety. With only 300 km on the odometer, this virtually brand-new unit provides a significant saving over showroom prices while maintaining its pristine, out-of-the-box feel. The White exterior is a top-tier choice for the GCC, ensuring maximum heat reflection and strong resale demand across the region. Featuring high-output dual motors and a 1.5L generator, it delivers effortless power suitable for both city commutes and long-distance desert highway runs. This trim represents the peak of Chinese automotive innovation, blending executive-level cabin comfort with a rugged, Pininfarina-styled exterior.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

With just 300 km, this vehicle is essentially in delivery condition, far below the typical 20,000 km annual average seen in the GCC. While many 2026 models are being imported with various configurations, this Captain ETE version features the sought-after 7-seat executive layout. The classic White finish remains the most practical and high-value color for the Middle East market, offering a distinct advantage in terms of future liquidity.

CAPTAIN ETE vs Lower Trims

The Captain ETE trim upgrades the cabin experience with ventilated and massaging seats in both the first and second rows, a feature essential for summer driving in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. It adds the 15.6-inch rear entertainment screen and the premium 14-speaker audio system as standard, providing a first-class travel experience that lower trims lack. Furthermore, it includes the advanced ADAS L2 driver assistance suite and multi-zone climate control with dedicated vents for all three rows.

ROX 01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 competes directly with the Li Auto L8 and the Land Rover Defender 110, offering a unique middle ground between high-tech luxury and off-road ruggedness. Its 70-litre fuel tank paired with a 56kWh battery provides a total range of over 1,100 km, significantly outperforming many traditional PHEVs on long highway stretches. Unlike many rivals, it offers a dedicated 'Camping Mode' and V2L external power output, making it a superior choice for weekend outdoor excursions.

Running Costs & Resale

The REEV powertrain offers excellent efficiency in stop-start city traffic, with a pure electric range of approximately 235 km (CLTC) for daily emissions-free commuting. ROX has established a robust regional parts hub in Jebel Ali, Dubai, ensuring 95% parts availability and specialized service centers across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. While a newer brand in the market, the 01 has shown strong initial value retention due to high demand for extended-range technology and its 5-star C-NCAP safety reputation. Owners can expect routine maintenance to be simpler than traditional petrol V8s, focusing on the small 1.5L generator and electrical system health.

Performance & Capability

Generating 476 hp and 740 Nm of torque, the ROX 01 delivers instant electric thrust that makes highway overtaking effortless even when fully loaded with seven passengers. The dual-motor All-Wheel Drive system is complemented by a 700 mm wading depth and selectable terrain modes, including Sand and Mud, designed to handle regional off-road conditions. An all-aluminum chassis and adaptive suspension ensure that the vehicle remains composed and comfortable during long-distance travel between emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is centered around 'zero-gravity' executive seating in the second row, providing exceptional legroom and support for long journeys. A powerful tri-zone climate control system with PM2.5 monitoring and a negative ion generator ensures the cabin stays cool and the air stays fresh during peak summer months. The minimalist dashboard is dominated by a 15.7-inch 3K touchscreen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor, ensuring a lag-free and modern user interface for all passengers.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on this trim includes a comprehensive suite of 14 airbags and a 360° surround-view camera for easy maneuvering in tight spaces. The L2 ADAS platform provides adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring, which are particularly effective on the fast-moving highways of the GCC. With a 5-star C-NCAP safety design and a high-strength steel body, it offers class-leading protection for large families.

The bottom line

This ROX 01 Captain ETE is the ideal choice for a tech-forward family looking for a luxury SUV that handles the UAE's heat and long distances with ease. As a near-zero mileage 2026 model, it represents a smart opportunity to own one of the most capable electrified SUVs currently available in the region.
