Summary

This 2026 model represents the most versatile version of the region's favorite people mover, combining massive passenger capacity with an rare four-wheel-drive configuration. As a brand-new vehicle with zero-kilometer status, it offers the ultimate peace of mind for buyers looking to maximize longevity and resale value in the GCC market. The choice of a 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine is a significant advantage for local buyers, providing smoother highway performance and better heat tolerance compared to smaller diesel alternatives. Its white exterior is the most practical and sought-after color in the region, ensuring maximum sunlight reflection and the strongest possible residual value when it eventually hits the used market. For large families or premium shuttle operators, this specific trim serves as the perfect balance between utility and high-end aesthetics. The most important ownership factor here is the legendary reliability of the platform combined with an expansive service network that covers every corner of the UAE and the wider GCC.

This Car vs Other 2026 Hiaces

Being a 2026 model year, this vehicle sits at the forefront of the current generation, benefiting from the latest refinements in cabin insulation and drivetrain tuning. While many examples in this segment are utilized as high-mileage commercial workhorses, this specific unit comes with the massive advantage of being in pristine condition, ready for its first owner. In the GCC market, where the average vehicle easily covers 25,000 kilometers in its first year, starting with a fresh delivery ensures you stay ahead of the depreciation curve. The white paint is not just a stylistic choice but a functional one, as it remains the most resilient color against the harsh desert sun and maintainable in dusty environments. This combination of the latest model year and zero wear makes it a far more attractive long-term asset than slightly older units that have already seen heavy communal use.

GL vs Lower Trims

The GL trim transforms the vehicle from a basic transporter into a more sophisticated passenger environment that GCC buyers appreciate. Unlike the standard base trims which often feature manual adjustments and vinyl finishes, the GL adds more refined interior materials and upgraded lighting that makes a noticeable difference during night drives between cities. You receive better sound dampening throughout the cabin, which is essential for maintaining conversations when traveling at highway speeds on the E11 or E311. Front and rear air conditioning controls are more advanced in this trim, ensuring that passengers in the back receive the same cooling performance as those in the front—a critical requirement for the local summer. Furthermore, the GL aesthetic includes body-colored bumpers and chrome accents that provide a much more professional and premium road presence compared to the black-plastic utility look of the entry-level versions.

Hiace vs Segment Rivals

When compared to rivals like the Nissan Urvan or the Hyundai H1, this Toyota leads significantly in terms of drivetrain capability and engine displacement. Most competitors in this class offer smaller 2.5-liter engines, whereas this 3.5-liter V6 provides the torque necessary to move a full load of nine or more passengers without straining. The inclusion of four-wheel drive is a rare and highly valuable differentiator, allowing for much better stability on gravel roads or during rainy periods which can make local roads surprisingly slick. Its fuel tank is designed for the vast distances of the Arabian Peninsula, allowing for fewer stops on cross-border trips or long drives to the Northern Emirates. Additionally, the vertical side-wall design ensures that it offers more shoulder room per passenger row than its more car-like competitors, making it the preferred choice for those who prioritize actual cabin volume.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.5L V6 engine is engineered to run efficiently on standard petrol grades available across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, making it an easy vehicle to fuel anywhere in the region. Maintenance intervals are standardized at 10,000 kilometers, and because the mechanical components are shared with other high-volume Toyota models, parts are exceptionally affordable and readily available at every major service center. This model enjoys the lowest depreciation rate in the entire van segment in the GCC, often retaining up to 85-90% of its value after the first year of ownership. Authorized service centers are more prevalent for this brand than any other in the Middle East, ensuring that even if you are in a remote area, professional support is nearby. Buyers can expect a very predictable cost of ownership, as the resale market for well-maintained White GL trims remains incredibly liquid and high-value.

Performance & Capability

Under the hood, the 3.5-liter V6 engine provides a robust power delivery that makes highway overtaking confident even when the cabin is at its 9+ passenger capacity. The six-cylinder configuration is inherently smoother than the four-cylinder engines found in many vans, reducing vibration and fatigue on six-hour drives across the desert. Unique to this specification is the four-wheel-drive system, which provides a level of grip and capability rarely seen in this segment, making it suitable for unpaved site visits or rural transport. The automatic transmission is tuned for durability and smooth shifts, avoiding the hunting common in smaller-displacement vehicles when climbing grades. With a generous ground clearance, it handles speed bumps and uneven terrain with ease, while the turning radius remains surprisingly tight for a vehicle of this footprint. This combination of a large petrol engine and 4WD makes it one of the most capable multi-purpose vehicles currently available in the market.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed specifically for the extreme climate of the Middle East, featuring a high-output air conditioning system with dedicated vents for every row of seating. With a capacity for nine or more passengers, the layout is spacious enough to ensure everyone has sufficient legroom for long-distance travel between emirates. High-quality fabric seating is chosen for its ability to remain cool even after the vehicle has been parked in direct sunlight, unlike leather which can become uncomfortably hot. The dash layout is ergonomic, putting all controls within easy reach of the driver, and includes modern connectivity for long-haul entertainment. Large windows provide an airy feel to the interior while being treated to reduce UV heat soak into the cabin. Sound insulation has been prioritized in this GL trim to ensure that the engine note remains a distant hum rather than an intrusion into the passenger space.

Safety

Safety is paramount in a vehicle designed to carry so many passengers, and this model comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of active systems. Standard features include Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Brake Assist, which are vital for managing the stopping distances of a large, fully-loaded vehicle on fast-moving highways. The four-wheel-drive system acts as a proactive safety feature, providing superior traction during the sudden sandstorms or heavy rain showers common in the region. Dual front airbags and reinforced side beams provide a high level of passive protection for the occupants in the event of an impact. Stability control is included to help the driver maintain the intended path during emergency maneuvers, a feature that is particularly effective given the vehicle’s high center of gravity. Toyota’s commitment to safety ensures that this vehicle meets rigorous regional standards, making it a trusted choice for family and corporate transport alike.

The bottom line

This 2026 4WD V6 model is the gold standard for high-capacity transport in the GCC, offering a rare combination of power, traction, and the region's best resale value. It is the ideal opportunity for a buyer who needs maximum seating without sacrificing the reliability and cooling performance required for the Middle Eastern climate.
