This Car vs Other 2027 G63 AMGs

As a current-year vehicle with 0 years of age, this European-spec G63 offers the latest mild-hybrid powertrain that shaves significant time off the 0-100 km/h sprint compared to earlier iterations. The classic Black finish is a strategic advantage in the GCC, consistently commanding higher resale prices and faster sales than non-traditional palettes. In a market where high-speed highway use is standard, this brand-new example ensures all mechanical components are at peak efficiency without the wear typical of local high-mileage use.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The AMG G63 sits at the top of the G-Class hierarchy, adding the handcrafted 4.0L V8 that produces 585 hp—a significant jump over the six-cylinder G500. Beyond the engine, this trim includes the AMG-specific grille, flared wheel arches, and the side-exit exhaust system that defines the model's signature sound. Inside, it adds the IWC-design dashboard clock, Nappa leather sport seats, and the AMG Performance steering wheel with dedicated drive-mode selectors, features that GCC buyers prioritize for both luxury and control.

G63 AMG vs Segment Rivals

The G63 AMG competes directly with the Land Rover Range Rover SV and the Lamborghini Urus, yet it remains the only rival offering a traditional ladder-frame chassis and three mechanical locking differentials. Its vertical greenhouse provides superior visibility for navigating tight Dubai parking or technical off-road terrain, and its 100-litre fuel tank offers greater touring range across the Emirates than many performance-tuned rivals. The G63's cultural status in the region is unmatched, providing a level of brand equity that competitors struggle to replicate.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this mild-hybrid V8 averages approximately 16.2L/100km, with the 48V system aiding efficiency in stop-start city traffic in Riyadh or Dubai. The G-Class holds value exceptionally well in the GCC, typically retaining over 85% of its value after the first year, significantly outperforming other European luxury SUVs. Mercedes-Benz maintains a vast authorized service network across all major GCC cities, ensuring that parts availability and expert maintenance are never an issue for cross-border travelers.

Performance & Capability

The handcrafted biturbo V8 delivers 585 hp and 850 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h time of just 4.4 seconds—an incredible feat for a vehicle of this mass. A standard two-speed transfer case and three sequential locking differentials ensure it remains the most capable luxury SUV for desert excursions or gravel tracks. On the highway, the 9-speed automatic transmission and adaptive damping provide a composed, high-speed cruising experience suited for long drives between Abu Dhabi and Muscat.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin features a five-seat layout finished in premium materials, with the latest MBUX dual-screen setup providing a seamless digital experience. Standard ventilated front seats and a high-output multi-zone climate control system are essential for maintaining comfort during the extreme GCC summer months. Acoustic glass and improved insulation in this latest model significantly reduce wind noise, ensuring the premium Burmester surround sound system remains clear even at highway speeds.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes a comprehensive ADAS suite with Active Brake Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, and a 360° camera system that is indispensable for maneuvering the G-Class's upright body. Adaptive Cruise Control with stop-and-go functionality makes long desert highway drives less fatiguing, while the reinforced ladder-frame construction provides a robust safety cell. Ten airbags and specialized stability control programs for sand and slippery surfaces come standard on this trim.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer who wants the latest performance technology without the wait, this brand-new 2027 G63 AMG in the market's favorite color is the definitive choice for both status and long-term value retention.
