Summary

This 2027 Land Cruiser FJ GXR arrives as a modern retro icon, blending the heritage of the original FJ40 with contemporary everyday usability in a compact footprint. Finished in White, the strongest resale color in the GCC market, this SUV offers a unique combination of a rugged ladder-frame chassis and a manageable size perfect for both Dubai city traffic and weekend desert escapes. Its 2.7L naturally aspirated engine is built for bulletproof long-term reliability rather than outright speed, making it an ideal choice for owners who prioritize low maintenance. As a GXR, this listing features meaningful cabin upgrades including synthetic leather and the full Toyota Safety Sense suite, making it a more refined daily driver than the base EXR trim.

This Car vs Other 2027 Land Cruiser FJs

As a brand-new model year for the region, this Land Cruiser FJ offers zero-kilometer freshness with the latest tech features not found on older legacy FJ models. The White exterior is highly sought after in the UAE and Saudi Arabia for its heat-reflective properties and superior value retention. Compared to the average GCC annual mileage of 25,000 km, this unused example provides a significant long-term ownership advantage.

GXR vs Lower Trims

The GXR trim adds significant premium features over the base EXR, including synthetic leather upholstery and a power-adjustable driver’s seat that are essential for long-distance GCC highway comfort. Tech-focused buyers will appreciate the addition of a 360-degree Panoramic View Monitor and the complete Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite. It also steps up to larger 18-inch alloy wheels, providing a more commanding stance compared to the standard 17-inch versions.

Land Cruiser FJ vs Segment Rivals

The Land Cruiser FJ stands out against rivals like the Suzuki Jimny 5-door and GWM Tank 300 by offering Toyota’s legendary ladder-frame durability backed by the region's most extensive parts network. While some competitors focus on small-displacement turbo engines, the FJ’s naturally aspirated 2.7L unit is engineered for mechanical simplicity and heat tolerance. Its 245 mm ground clearance leads many crossover-based rivals, ensuring genuine capability for weekend trail drives.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages approximately 10.1 km/L, which is efficient for a body-on-frame 4x4 in GCC stop-start traffic. Toyota remains the benchmark for resale value in the Middle East, typically depreciating at a much slower rate of 8-10% annually compared to European rivals. Owners benefit from 10,000 km service intervals and a massive network of authorized service centers across the UAE, KSA, and Oman.

Performance & Capability

The 164 hp 2.7L engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and a proper part-time 4WD system featuring a rear differential lock. With 245 mm of ground clearance and a short wheelbase, it excels at technical off-roading and navigating tight dunes that challenge larger SUVs. The ladder-frame construction provides the structural rigidity required for serious desert work while maintaining stable highway manners for inter-emirate travel.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is designed for the harsh GCC climate, featuring a powerful dual-zone automatic air conditioning system and dedicated rear vents to ensure rapid cooling. The GXR interior is upgraded with a 12.3-inch infotainment display supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless connectivity. Acoustic insulation and upright visibility make it a practical and comfortable choice for both families and urban professionals.

Safety

This GXR trim is equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, including Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert, and a Pre-Collision System, all of which are invaluable for fast-moving GCC highways. Passive safety is reinforced by a comprehensive airbag system and ISOFIX points for family use. The standard Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert provide extra confidence when navigating busy multi-lane city environments.

The bottom line

This 2027 Land Cruiser FJ GXR is the perfect opportunity for a buyer who wants iconic Land Cruiser DNA and modern safety tech in a maneuverable, high-resale package.
