2017 Honda CR-V exposed

After 20 odd years of selling millions of units around the world, it’s about time Honda brought their popular mid-sized SUV into the not so distant future. 2017 Honda CR-V models are set to follow in the footsteps of the 2017 Accord and Civic with a brand new look.

The brands signature LED’s adorn the front end along with their new grille which is said to reduce aerodynamic drag. On each side, hints of the previous CR-V is visible and around the back, Honda has completely redesigned the taillights, tailgate, rear spoiler and there are even dual exhaust tips sticking out of the rear end giving the SUV a sporty look.

Honda has drastically improved the interior by using softer materials and adding a range of optional extras to rival the best in the business. Remote start, dual zone climate control, smartphone-controlled navigation, system, powered seats, rear USB ports and more. Honda also claims that the 2017 Honda CR-V is to roll out of the factory with “the best rear legroom in its class.”

The original 2.4-litre four cylinder motor is back for another few years presumably. Joining alongside as an optional power source is a 1.5-litre four cylinder turbocharged unit capable of 190 horsepower. Both units are exclusively mated to a CVT gearbox that powers the front wheels or all four of them.

Not a single word has been spoken of when the all-new Honda CR-V will hit showrooms across the UAE, and neither has a price tag. We expect an early 2017 launch.
