2017 Hyundai i10 receives a face lift

Paris’s International Motor Show is just around the corner, but that doesn’t stop auto manufacturers from showcasing what’s to come. In this scenario, it’s the 2017 Hyundai i10 sporting a new front end and interior options to drag you in for more.

Besides the revamped grille, two round daytime running lights mounted below the headlights. Each corner has 14-inch rims that are now available in alloy or steel. Around the rear, there are a few minor tweaks such as the bumper, rounded off fog lights and taillights made of a custom material.

As for engines, powering the front wheels and mated to either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission as standard is the same engine as 2016 models with a 1.25-litre four cylinder petrol engine rated at 90 horsepower with a max speed of 155 km/h.

In 2017 trims, interior options receive a healthy boost with the menu now including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay which will put this micro hatchback one step ahead of its rivals including the Ford Figo, Chevrolet Spark and Kia Picanto. Other options include front collision warning system, lane departure assist, front camera sensors, navigation, a seven-inch display and in certain parts of the world, the brand is offering life traffic monitoring system.

Of course all of the above doesn’t come as standard and will increase the vehicle’s base price. 2017 i10 models are destined for showrooms early next year in the GCC.
