2017 Nissan Altima goes under the knife

The 2016 Nissan Maxima looks great with its new face, overall design and don’t get me started on the blacked out C-Pillar that gives the roof a floating look. Then there’s the recently unveiled Tiida and GT-R both received touch ups and new tech, the Altima and Patrol are the only two popular models left yet to receive a refresh.

Last revised in 2013, the 2017 Nissan Altima breaths new life to the sedan with a re-worked exterior to fall in line with other Nissan Models. A smaller v-shaped grille with restyled head lights attached each side with LED daytime running lights. Round back it’s similar to last year’s model apart from a re-formed bumper, boot lid and tail lamps.

Inside, Nissan hasn’t enhanced much. Adding reshaped front seats with new pattern and in the centre console, there are new cupholders.

New shades of paint are on offer alongside current colours including Brillant Silver, Gun Metal, Cayenne Red, Pearl White and Java Metallic. Also available are new 17-alloys are on offer. Both Inline four and V6 powertrains remain identical, with power being sent to the front wheels via a CVT gearbox. With minor changes to the CVT system, the 2017 Nissan Altima is more fuel efficient than the previous last years models.

2017 Nissan Altima models are destined for UAE in the next few months. Five trim levels are available starting from 2.5 S, SV, SL, 3.5 SV and SL. Prices start at AED 79,000 and top out at AED 106,000. Both coupe and sedan models are on offer with certain parts of the world also receiving them with a hybrid powertrain.

Did I forget the Sentra? I did indeed forget the Nissan Sentra as a refresh isn’t announced just yet, however, there’s a new trim ready to join the line-up. Once we get all the information about that that we’ll let you know.
