2018 BMW Alpina B4 S gets updated

Seeing as the BMW 4-Series has been recently updated, it doesn’t come as a surprise the 2018 BMW Alpina B4 wouldn’t receive a similar treatment.

Cosmetically, the 2018 BMW Alpina B4 gets standard LED adaptive headlights, front and rear aprons with chrome accents and LED rear lights.

Similar to the previous years, 2018 BMW Alpina B4 models are available in both coupe and convertible body styles. Both are equipped identical engines with the coupe being able to 100 on 4.2 seconds and the droptop being 0.1 seconds slower.

Power is drawn from a straight six-cylinder 3-litre petrol motor aided by turbocharged induction. Mated to an upgraded eight-speed sport automatic gearbox controlling the rear wheels, the engine spits out a respectable 440 horsepower. All-wheel drive will be made optional.

Standard M4’s are rated at 425 horses. Not a massive difference, as they can also be equipped with the Competition Package, cranking that number up to 444.

It’s not just an increase in power and styling cues that separate the 2018 BMW Alpina B4 from standard M4’s. Alpina implemented their signature Alpina Sports Suspension that features electronically adjustable dampers, springs and anti-roll bars.

Alpina has yet to reveal when the model will be made available and what markets it will be available in. We’ve heard the American market will not receive the 2018 BMW Alpina B4 S and will have to make do with the Alpina B6 and B7 vehicles.

In the market for a German coupe or convertible? We’ve got new BMW 4-Series and used BMW 4-Series for sale in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
