2018 Maserati Ghibli spied with facelift

Last year, Maserati updated their ‘entry’ level sedan with more power, increased safety properties and connectivity features. Later this year, the Italian brand will unveil the 2018 Maserati Ghibli with an updated face.

Scheduled to debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show, Spy photographers have snapped a 2018 Maserati Ghibli embracing heavy camouflage masking its front end and lower rear end. There are also two black stickers on the hood of the vehicle. Possibly there are a few additional cuts on the way.

While the camo does its job pretty well, we can assume redesigned headlights are imminent on either side of the brand’s iconic grille complete with trident logo along with minor tweaks to the bumper.

Around the back, we are unsure of what’s to come as Maserati has masked the lower half. But we do expect minor revisions to the taillights. Maserati has also covered up a small part of the boot leading to another minor tweak.

Inside, we expect minor updates as last year, Maserati introduced a larger 8.4-inch screen which is where you’ll find navigation, Bluetooth, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Plus there is the redesigned knob below, phone storage compartment and covering.

Additionally, we expect changes to the trim levels with the 2018 Maserati Ghibli dropping Sport and Luxury names in favour for Gransport and Granlusso much like the updated Quattroporte has done.

Powertrains are expected to remain unchanged from 2017 models with the V6 petrol motor pumping out 345 horsepower in base trim and 404 hp.

Until Germany’s live show later in the year, we’ve got used Maserati Ghibli for sale in Dubai.
