2018 Porsche 911 GT3 RS surfaces and removed in 3.2 seconds

As a new generation of the 911 family is soon to be ushered in, now is the perfect the time for Porsche to introduce to the world the 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 RS or is it?

Early this week, a handful of images started circulating showcasing it’s “new” sporty prowess. However, they were swiftly removed in as fast as the model launches from 0 to 100 km/h, but you’re in luck as we’ve got a few of the pictures to share with you.

2018 Porsche 911 GT3 RS; new and improved

As you would expect, the 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 RS receives the same sharp front end and sleek LED daytime running lights as the 2018 GT3 as well as key RS styling cues similar to the current model.

This includes a custom sculpted hood with small NACA ducts and identical functional grooves on the front wheel arches. Bold GT3 RS stickers sit just above the aggressive side skirts while the rear end benefits from the latest 911 taillights and an enlarged rear wing.

Reports suggest the 4.0-litre mid-mounted flat-six engine now pumps out 520 horsepower at 8250 rpm. A modest increase of 20 horses, exact torque numbers are unknown but is expected to increase as well.

Thanks to an additional kick, the 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 RS is said to launch from 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds before maxing out at 312 km/h.

As the original source has been removed and the cat is now out of the back, expect Porsche to reveal the updated GT3 RS in the coming weeks.

Dubicars.com has new Porsche 911 and used Porsche 911 for sale in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
