2018 Toyota Camry adds agression to the family

After a quick tease late last year, the ball on what the 2018 Toyota Camry will look like has finally arrived and adds that aggressive touch needed in this day and age.

Presented with a new bold look, Toyota’s updated Camry has it’s headlights firmly shining on keeping its top spot in the mid-sized sedan category across the globe.

Sharper lines instantly stick out at the front and everywhere else on the vehicle. You may even notice that the bonnet is lower and overall the car sits lower to the ground.

Toyota has gone that extra mile during the production phase to strengthen the vehicle’s platform by incorporating high-strength steel and new molding technologies to create the menacing appearance without adding more weight.

Inside, the Japnese brand continues the updates with enhanced seats, softer cabin materials, an 8-inch touchscreen mounted in the centre console, a 7-inch dashboard display and a 10-inch heads-up display.

Safety features have been extensively reworked with the 2018 Toyota Camry adding pedestrian detection, lane keep assist, automatic high beam assist and up to ten airbags.

Powering the 2018 Toyota Camry is a 2.5-litre four cylinder motor connected to an 8-speed automatic gearbox while customers in the States have a V6 3.5-litre engine to choose from as well. A hybrid version is readily available at launch with the standard 2.5-litre unit mated to a CVT box.

GCC models have yet to be confirmed, but across the pond, there are four trim levels to choose from. LE, XLE, SE and XSE with the last two offering customers a sportier exterior.
