2018 Volkswagen Touareg and Polo spied

When updated models are spotted in the wild we usually just see one. However, this time not one but two revised models have been spotted side by side virtually undisguised. The two models in question are the 2018 Volkswagen Touareg and Polo.

Spied in South Africa, not much is known about either vehicle, but what we do know is that both will utilise a new platform.

2018 Volkswagen Touareg models are said to be based on the brands MLB platform also used on the Bentley Bentayga, Audi Q7 and the upcoming Lamborghini Urus and Porsche Cayenne.

The Touareg also benefits from a fresh new look which is all too similar to the T-Prime GTE concept that debuted last year. With the Volkswagen Atlas model on its way, don’t expect the 2018 Touareg to support a third row as the Atlas launches with the additional seats later this year.

2018 Volkswagen Polo models aren’t drastically different from the outgoing model with the most significant change underneath as the compact hatchback utilises the MLB platform.

Rear lights do appear to resemble those found on the Audi Q2.

Aside from that not much is know about either model. Expect the selection of four-cylinder motors to drive the front wheels or the 2018 Polo and four and six-cylinder power units to move the 2018 Volkswagen Touareg.

Both models are expected to hit showrooms around the world later this year or early next year as 2018 models.
