2019 Raptor gets cruise control for off-road driving

Revealed a few months ago with a range of additional features and technologies to ensure the 2019 Raptor can hold its own off the tarmac, Ford has announced another new feature the 2019 variant will receive; off-road cruise control.

One of the key highlights of the desert hungry Raptor is the Trail Control system and according to Ford, “it’s like cruise control for off-road driving.” The system can be engaged at speeds between 1.6 and 32.2 km/h and can be used in all 4×4 modes.

The new feature takes control of throttle and braking for the drivers and leaves them with just the steering to control. The system will also aid drivers in overcoming steep obstacles as the system automatically sends torque to each wheel independently, then braking on the opposite side, and it doesn’t stop there.

2019 Raptor pickup’s with trail control equipped can also use the feature to get themselves out of a sticky situation or extreme sands.

To further explain Trail Control, Ford has released a video showcasing it and other notable functions.

Furthermore, the 2019 Raptor is also available in three new colours Velocity Blue, Agate Black and Performance Blue, different rims and enhanced Recaro sports seats with blue Alcantara inserts and contrasting stitching.

The 2019 Raptor will go into production later this year and will go on sale shortly afterwards in the US. GCC residents can expect to get their hands on one sometime in 2019.

Dubicars.com has new Ford Raptor and used Ford Raptor for sale in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
