Al Tayer Motors Takes Over Kia Distributorship In The UAE

Kia has entered a new chapter in the UAE. Al Tayer Motors has been appointed the brand’s exclusive importer-distributor in the country, taking over from Juma Al Majid Group. Premier Motors, part of Al Tayer Motors, will represent Kia in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

The new partnership covers the complete Kia customer journey, including new car sales, servicing, spare parts, warranties, and after-sales support.

Who Is The New Kia Distributor In The UAE?

Al Tayer Motors will oversee Kia operations across Dubai and the Northern Emirates. Premier Motors will handle the brand’s sales and after-sales operations in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

This brings Kia into Al Tayer Motors’ extensive automotive portfolio, which already includes brands such as Ford, Lincoln, Jaguar, Land Rover, Ferrari, Maserati, VinFast, Deepal, Foton, and Ford Trucks.

Al Tayer Motors was established in 1982 and currently operates a growing network of sales, service, and parts facilities across the UAE. The company employs more than 3,100 professionals.

Al Tayer Motors Takes Over From Juma Al Majid Group

The appointment marks the end of Kia’s long-standing distributorship agreement with Juma Al Majid Group in the UAE.

Kia Middle East & Africa acknowledged and thanked Juma Al Majid Group for its contribution to the brand’s growth and customer base in the country. The outgoing distributor’s established foundation is expected to support Kia as it begins its next phase of expansion under Al Tayer Motors and Premier Motors.

“The appointment of Al Tayer Motors and Premier Motors marks a strategic milestone for Kia in one of the region’s most dynamic markets,” said Hoo Gon Kim, President of Kia Middle East & Africa.

What Changes For Existing Kia Owners?

Existing Kia owners will continue to receive warranty coverage and after-sales support without interruption. Current warranties, service agreements, and other ownership commitments will be fully honoured by Al Tayer Motors and Premier Motors.

Customers in Dubai and the Northern Emirates will be supported by Al Tayer Motors, while owners in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain will deal with Premier Motors.

Kia’s Next Phase In The UAE

The distributorship change arrives as Kia expands beyond conventional passenger cars and SUVs. Its UAE portfolio now includes electric vehicles, a pickup truck, and purpose-built commercial vehicles.

Kia recently introduced the PV5 in the UAE, while more launches are planned for the year. The partnership is also expected to support the manufacturer’s wider focus on electrification and sustainable mobility.

The move from Juma Al Majid Group to Al Tayer Motors represents one of the most significant changes to Kia’s UAE operations in years.

Along with maintaining support for existing customers, the new distributor will be responsible for growing a line-up that now stretches far beyond Kia’s traditional passenger cars. With new electric vehicles, the Tasman pickup, and the PV5 joining established names such as the Sportage, Sorento, and Carnival, Al Tayer Motors takes charge at an important point in the brand’s transformation.
