Bentley quietly unveil Mulsanne Grand Convertible

Quietly tucked away amidst the hustle and bustle that was the 2017 Dubai International Motor Show, Bentley revealed the Mulsanne Grand Convertible and have confirmed that only 19 models will be built at their premier dealership right here in the UAE.

Said to celebrate the companies 100-year tenure of luxury motoring brilliance, the first models will be delivered in 2019 to commemorate the occasion.

Traditional Mulsanne luxury saloon’s usually sport four doors to fit up to five occupants. Instead, the Mulsanne Grand Convertible has only two, four seats, the largest single piece of veneer wood of any luxury vehicle currently in production and a collapsible roof.

Silent launch, smooth power for the Mulsanne Grand Convertible

This exquisite convertible is based on the Mulsanne Speed which means a twin-turbo 6.75-litre V8 drives the rear wheels. Mated to an automatic gearbox, 530 horsepower and 1,100 Nm of torque allows the bespoke Mulsanne Grand Convertible to smoothly sail to 100 km/h in a brisk five seconds before hitting a top speed of 305 km/h.

Effectively, the Mulsanne Grand Convertible is the successor to the desirable Azure which was discontinued in 2010.

It’s unknown where these models will be heading too. However, we have some bad news for US customers. Not a single one of the 19 to be built will be heading to the States.

While no price tag has been confirmed by Bentley, rumours persist the Mulsanne Grand Convertible carries a price tag of $3.5 million or AED 12,855,150. Best start saving right away!

Dubicars.com has new Bentley Mulsanne and used Bentley Mulsanne for sale in Dubai.
