This year, BMW celebrates 40 years of the 7-series! To celebrate the Bavarian manufacturer will commission just 200 units of the 7-Series 40 Jahre luxury four-door sedan.
As you would expect, 7-Series 40 Jahre models are identical to standard versions of the 7-Series except customers can choose to have their executive sedan painted in either Petrol Mica metallic or Frozen Silver metallic.
Each corner is highlighted with 20-inch lightweight alloys from the BMW individual catalogue. A limited edition plaque is subtlety placed on the B-pillar and is only visible when both doors are open.
An M aerodynamics package completes the exterior with a signature black double kidney grille and unique bumpers.
All 200 models are fitted with premium leather and a choice between Merino grain finished in Smoke White/Cohiba or Smoke White/Black. Completing the interior is a set of unique floor mats, comfort seats for both rear and front passengers and a one off badge to highlight 40 years.
As you would expect, the usual BMW 7-Series options are available including the latest iDrive onboard computer system other luxurious options.
Expected to go on sale later this year. BMW 7-Series 40 Jahre can be had in standard and long-wheel base configurations with a six, eight or 12-cylinder motor powering the rear or all-four wheels.
BMW has yet to announce a price for these limited edition models and we’ll catch a glimpse of the model in full later this year in Frankfurt.
