After last week’s confirmation of the updated 2018 Mustang coupe heading our way later this year, it was only a matter of time before the wraps were pulled off the 2018 Mustang convertible.
That day has arrived! Sporting identical improvements all around including a wider grille, innovative headlights and a lower bonnet, the 2018 Mustang Convertible is ready to soak in the winter temperatures of the UAE.
Convertible models benefit from the brand’s new 12-inch digital display plus are a large variety of safety assistance options including pedestrian detection, pre-collision assist and an upgraded MyMode system to hold on to drivers preferences when it comes to setting up the vehicle.
Similar to its coupe counterpart, the V6 motor is no more. Instead, a choice between an EcoBoost 2.3-litre four cylinder or a heart pounding 5.0-litre V8 is available to drive the rear wheels.
Ford haven’t dropped the all on outputs of the two motors but they have confirmed the four-cylinder is to provide additional torque and the V8 is fitted with direct and port fuel injection resulting in increased fuel economy and extra power.
2018 Mustang Convertible models go on sale later this year with an unconfirmed price. There are three new paint colours to choose from on top of returning palettes and can be had with a selection of 12 unique rim designs.
